THE BIG SHOE is a daring and comedic romance about an unusual, creatively stifled shoe designer, Nate and his newfound muse, Delphi, who inspires him to resume his brilliant designs. Denied the chance by his family to design high-end women's shoes, Nate Arbinger, refuses to have anything to do with the family’s industrial footwear business while his father is still alive. Following his death, Nate returns home for the funeral, knowing that his mother, Irene, and older sister, Ellen, desperately want him to revive and revamp the company but he has little interest in fulfilling their wishes.

His lack of engagement prompts Irene to hire MK, a therapist who specializes in treating foot fetishists, in order to woo Nate back to work. MK, in turn, hires Delphi, a foot model and sex worker to act as Nate’s muse. Inspired by the beautiful Delphi with whom he is clearly falling in love, Nate begins to create his most beautiful work. But when the family seizes control of his new line of shoes and separates him from his muse, he suffers a breakdown until MK intervenes to restore an unexpected and surprising harmony to his life.

Kristen to star in 'American Ultra' alongside Jesse Eisenberg

Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg are teaming up for American Ultra, an action comedy from Nima Nourizadeh, the director of the surprise hit comedy Project X.

Max Landis, who wrote the hit sci-fi found footage movie Chronicle, penned the script for Ultra, which is being produced by Anthony Bregman for Likely Story, and by David Alpert and Britton Rizzio for Circle of Confusion.

Eisenberg will play an unmotivated stoner named Mike, who lives with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart), in a small, sleepy town. One night, their lives take an unexpected turn when Mike's past comes back to haunt him, and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out.

“Simply put, American Ultra will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theater without the use of drugs, fireworks, or canola oil," said Bregman, the prolific indie producer whose most recent credit is Enough Said, the James Gandolfini-Julia Louis-Dreyfus dramedy

FilmNation Entertainment will handle international sales for all territories, including Canada. CAA will represent domestic rights on the film.

Executive producers are Kevin Frakes of PalmStar Media Capital and Raj Brinder Singh of Merced Media Partners.

Ultra is set to begin shooting in April 2014.

Synopois:
At 18, Maria Enders got acquainted with success because of her play MalojaSnake, where she played Sigrid, a young ambitious girl whose troubling charm got an older woman - Helena - fascinated and drove her to suicide.
It was the role that changed her life.
More than 20 years later, at the peak of her fame, she was offered to receive a prestigious award in Zurich on behalf of Wihelm Melchior, the screenwriter and director of the play to whom she owe such an early fame. Seeing as Wihelm now lives secluded in Sils Maria, Switzerland.
But at the sudden death of Wihelm, a few hours before the ceremony, Maria Enders is put face to face with the fast paced of time and her past that she refuses to leave behind.
Not to mention, a young director offers her to remake MalojaSnake but to play Helena this time - to focus on the subject of the destruction that helped build her celebrity.

The real threat is named Jo-Ann Ellis, a very young Hollywood actress with a scandalous reputation, who will take over the role of Sigrid. She will be both, her rival and the troubling mirror of her youth who she will have no choice but to face.
To reconcile with time, age and maturity, she will end up learning that at every turn of life, freedom, independence but also that the strength of one's self have to be won, even if it's painful.
