#'Twiligh Film Scene Recreated With LEGOs

I'm an enormous film fan and when I was growing up everybody had a big bucket of Lego or knew somebody who did," says film student Alex Eylar, 22, of Oakland, Calif.

The aspiring screenwriter began collecting LEGOs when he was five years old and now he boasts somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 pieces in his collection, which he now uses to recreate classic movie scenes.

"I make all my Lego projects at a table in the corner of [my] living room. I've got five of those big plastic drawer bureaus, filled with pieces divided by color, style, function. For smaller projects, the build can be finished in less than half an hour. It all depends on the amount of detail and the scale of the scene," he tells Paul Andrews of

Eylar, who is studying for his Master's degree in screenwriting at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., says it's the photography that takes the longest because he needs to get the effects right - and that could lead to days of work. Although he says the James Bond scene only took him a few minutes.

And none of the LEGO pieces are custom made. "I'm too much of a purist," he says, preferring to utilize only original blocks.

But what happens to these miniature movie sets after he's finished photographing them?

"After each set is built and photographed I tear it down. I can't afford to keep them built - I need the pieces," he says.

New Moon is the top film of pay TV in 2010

The Twilight franchise continues to break records. The film "New Moon" the second chapter of the saga, was the most watched pay TV in Brazil in 2010, according to Nielsen. The record was set in the premiere of the film Telecine Premium, which occurred on October 30. The canal opened the sign for non-subscribers during the viewing.

The detail is that "The Twilight Saga: New Moon was not only the most watched movie of the year in the Brazilian pay-TV. It was also the second. The encore was in its reprise in the telecine Popcorn, the next day. That is, the fans never tire of seeing actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison interpret the love story between the mortal Bella and vampire Edward.
Guess which was the record-breaking TV audience paid last year? Twilight, the first James Bond movie.

Borders Will NOT Have Exclusive Eclipse DVD --Exclusive Offers Promotion Instead

We’ve got some good and some bad news regarding Borders and their selling of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse DVD. The bad news? They will not be featuring an exclusive edition of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse like they did previously with Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The good news? They’re trying to make up for it by offering some exclusive promotions when you purchase the DVD. Check them out below:

(click for larger image)

So basically (if you can’t see the graphic), Borders will be offering a Jacob or Edward accessory bag for only $5 with the purchase of the Eclipse DVD. And you can pre-order the DVD through them here. I’m really sad to hear they won’t have the exclusive DVD. I bought the DVD’s from them the previous two years so I could have the collector’s edition and now my Eclipse DVD won’t fit in. Aww :(
Thanks so much to: TwilightersAnonymous

Hope this helps. Just go to Target and get the Two-Disc Special Edition. Really, everything you need and want is on that one, believe me.

HollywoodNews: “New Moon” and Its Actors Win Big at the MTV Movie Awards

The results are in for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, and The Twilight Saga did it again: “New Moon” and its actors pulled off wins in all five categories for which the film or its actors were nominated. Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Global Superstar, and Best Kiss were all won by “New Moon” actors. And, the film itself won the biggest award of the evening, Best Movie.

As reported previously, the Twilight actors were competing against one another or themselves in most categories awarded to individual actors. Such was the case for Global Superstar (for which Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner all competed), Best Male Performance (for which Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner both competed), and Best Kiss (for which Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson competed for “New Moon” simultaneously to Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning competing for “The Runaways”). Though there were winners and losers, the Twilight franchise always came out on top.

So, who were the individual winners? Kristen Stewart won for Best Female Performance, Robert Pattinson for both Best Male Performance and Global Superstar, and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for Best Kiss. Beyond the “New Moon” win for Best Movie, a sixth award was won for Twilight Saga actor, Anna Kendrick, for her performance not in “New Moon” but for “Up in the Air”.

Other memorable moments for Twilight fans included another world premiere “Eclipse” clip, quirky acceptance speeches, and more spots featuring Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Les Grossman. There was also a fair amount of Twilight banter among other of the show’s presenters. Stay tuned for more on that tomorrow…

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart: NEW MOON Extended Scene in Class

Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen once again murmurs words of wisdom to Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan when they should be in class studying. But that’s high school.

In this extended sequence from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Bella tells Edward she’s not at all into birthday parties. Edward reminds her that there are worse tragedies in the world. Personally, I don’t think Bella looks fully convinced.

Edward also says that the last time any of the vampires celebrated a birthday was when Bing Crosby was still at the top of the charts. I’m not quite sure when that was, but I’m guessing it was sometime in the ’30s. Or perhaps ’40s.

Then Edward changes the subject from parties and music charts to Shakespeare. "Look at Romeo, you know? He killed his true love out of sheer … stupidity. Imagine living with that." Bella looks like she’s trying hard, but can’t quite imagine it.

'New Moon' To Receive Fan Choice Award At ShoWest

Nearly 50,000 moviegoers picked the 'Twilight' sequel as the best film of 2009.
By Larry Carroll

Thumbs Down .Share Favorite.
In the eyes of the Academy Awards, "The Hurt Locker" was the Best Picture of 2009. But a loyal army of Twilighters feel differently — and this week, they're making their opinions known at one of Hollywood's most visible annual conventions.

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" has been selected for the ShoWest/Fandango Fan Choice Award, which will be presented Thursday at ShoWest's Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. The Fan Choice Award was voted on by nearly 50,000 moviegoers, who were asked on Fandango to select their favorite film of 2009.

ShoWest, the largest annual convention for the motion-picture industry, is currently under way in Las Vegas. This year's installment will once again end with the celebrated Banquet and Award Ceremony, where awards will also be presented to Vanessa Hudgens, Zach Galifianakis, Amanda Seyfried, Sam Worthington and Jerry Bruckheimer. Rumor has it that a producer from the "Twilight" series will accept the award, and a special video message from one of the franchise's top stars will be played for those in attendance.

"You might have guessed that 'Avatar' would have won the Fan Choice Award, since 'Avatar' was the top ticket-seller in our company's history," explained Fandango Chief Marketing Officer Ted Hong. "But never bet against the passion, loyalty and dedication of the vociferous 'Twilight' fans."

The sequel to "Twilight" garnered nearly 66 percent of the vote — although "Hurt Locker" shouldn't feel too bad, as the same studio (Summit Entertainment) showed off its diversity in 2009 by releasing both films.

"Moviegoers on Fandango have been behind the franchise from the very beginning, and that's why the first 'Twilight' movie won the Fan Choice Award last year," Hong added. "The big question will be whether or not 'Eclipse' will be in the running for next year's award, and if the franchise can pull off a three-peat."

"We are thrilled to once again have the opportunity to partner with Fandango to present the ShoWest/Fandango Fan Choice Award at this year's ShoWest Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony," ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine said in a statement. "It is no surprise that the fans have chosen the box-office hit 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' as this year's recipient, and we are excited to present the film with this award."

Check out everything we've got on "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
