  1. Summit should fire their marketing team. Fools I tell you. I stood in line at the blockbuster in my town. I was first in line and waited for three hours just to get a copy of Eclipse. Why? Because I couldn't wait to hear Kristen and Rob's commentary. The place was jammed packed. 95% of the people there were there for the commentary. The following year, breaking dawn part one was released on dvd, it was me and two other people waiting for the midnight release. This time around, it was just three people! Why? We weren't as interested because Rob and Kristen weren't commenting. I want to hear Bill's comments, want to know what he was thinking, how and why he filmed a certain way, but I want to hear Kristen and Rob's point of veiw even more. The movie was great, but this is my way of standing up to Summit for depriving me of what I really want. They want to be selfish? Well, I can also be selfish. I will be boycotting.

    1. Maybe...just maybe.. they're waiting for the boxed set or a package with BD2 to add Rob and Kristen's commentary? I have no idea what they're going to do, but a series of this scope without commentary from the actors playing two of the most iconic roles of this generation? I can't imagine, in the end, ANY studio is so blind as to make that major of an oversight. Just a guess, but surely, even just basing on prior success, they already have the commentary in the can and they're just milking the releases for all they can get? Can't blame them for that. I can see them possibly trying to please all segments of the audience with different releases. Personally, I can't wait to hear Bill's commentary and also see additional footage, but I'm more excited for the final release of what I'm hoping is the greatest boxed set ever, with many surprises and goodies, a treasured keepsake of this incredible experience we've shared.

    2. I think that Rob and Kris doing a commentary is dictated if they have the time to do this and obviously they didn't have the time. However, for this new DVD release they should have included an R/K commentary because we all know that those 8 extra minutes will be out on the net to download pretty quick.
I'm with you, I would have paid money again to have another BD1 DVD if Rob and Kris had done a commentary but with just 8 minutes of footage I sure don't want to shell out about $20 just for that.

  2. Any news as to whether this is going to be available in the UK/Europe?

    1. I really hope that we can get this DVD in the uk!

  4. YESSSS!!!Can't wait to purchase this DVD. I have all the rest of Twilight movies.

  5. omg i cant waite :-)

  6. I knew it! I did a good thing that I didn't buy the original "Part 1" DVD. I imagined Summit would release some kind of extended edition like that, or maybe Part 1 + 2 pack or something. They really are squeezing money out of the audience anyway they can. Like they couldn't release this as the original DVD in the first place...

  7. Anon 12:39 I suspect Summitt begged R/K for a commentary and they are just too guarded to reveal their natural interactions. I understand if they didn't want too. Too bad for us, though. Sometimes I listen to that commentary from Eclipse just to get in a better mood. I'm a guy, btw.

    1. Me too!! Sometimes I'm felling down and I put that on to get in a better mood. is just that you can listen to that a 100 times and is still fun and funny!! Hahaha

  8. I'm kind of confused! Will this extended version of breaking dawn part 1 be in the breaking dawn part 2 dvd set or do we have to buy this in order to see the extended version?

  9. Will this DVD be available In The UK? Because i would really love to get this DVD!
