Rob Talks About 'Queen of the Desert'

Rob Pattinson changed out of his green suit before coming to the party with wearing a more casual red sweater and baseball cap, saying he has three movies to shoot before he even gets to "Queen of the Desert," in which he plays T.E. Lawrence opposite Naomi Watts' Gertude Bell. "I wanted to work with Werner Herzog," he told me. He has no idea if he'll go blond to play Lawrence of Arabia. And the role is being expanded for him. First he has to get through David Michod's "The Rover."

New Kristen Interview with EOnline from BD2 LA Premiere

Kristen Stewart only just got to don fangs in the final Twilight Saga installment. So, it would only make sense that fans crave more vampire K.Stew. But what does Bella Swan, er, Bella Cullen think about it?

"I'm not sure," Stewart told us when she hit the black carpet at the premiere of the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2 Monday. "It would have to be pretty special."

So, how does it feel walking the fifth and final red carpet, held at Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live?

"You know, I think the most go-to answers for everyone on one of these carpets is, 'Oh my gosh, it's so surreal,'" Kristen explained. "But to be honest with you, this time especially is so completely surreal. I'm just trying to absorb it. I'm trying to be here."

New Rob and Kristen Interview with LA Times from BD2 LA Premiere

It may seem like "Twilight" is coming to a close -- what with thousands of fans descending upon Los Angeles Monday night for the premiere of the final film.

But the journey isn't yet over for the stars of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," who will jet to Europe this evening after attending the film's Hollywood premiere.

"Knowing we have to go to London tonight and then to Madrid is so annoying," said Robert Pattinson, decked out in a green Gucci suit.

Kristen Stewart seemed more taken with the present moment. Asked how it felt to know the vampire franchise was finally coming to a close, she could only muster the word "surreal."

"I know the most go-to answer for everyone on these carpets is 'Oh my gosh, this is so surreal,'" she said, affecting a valley girl voice. "But to be honest with you, this time is so completely surreal. I'm trying to absorb it. I'm trying to be here."

New Rob Interview with EOnline from BD2 LA Premiere

Robert Pattinson might feel a little relieved that The Twilight Saga has come to an end. He's said as much himself!

But that doesn't mean he won't miss it.

"In a year, I think I'll definitely miss it," R.Pattz admitted on the black carpet at the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere held at Nokia Theatre. "It's such a strange experience. That's why I waited to see the movie until tonight. It's such a different thing seeing it with the fans instead of on a DVD or whatever."

Fans that have been with the saga since the very beginning. And are still just as dedicated five years later, if the throngs of screaming fans that have been camping out for days are any indication.

"It was incredibly overwhelming, the first one. I mean, it felt like you were getting hit by a truck," Rob recalled of his first Twilight premiere. "This one, you kind of know what the deal is. You know nothing really weird is going to happen."

And Twi-hards, don't start your grieving just yet—because Edward Cullen himself may not hang up his fangs forever.

"Yeah! Yeah definitely," Rob told us when asked if he would ever play a vampire on the big screen again. "If it was a good script."

As for the flashy green suit he rocked tonight?

R.Pattz laughed, "I had a dream about an emerald green houndstooth suit, and I got Gucci to make it."

It's hard to think of Robert Pattinson being scared playing Edward in the Twilight movies.

But he was. At least at the very beginning.

"It was terrifying," he told me and my E! News cohort Catt Sadler at tonight's Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere at L.A. Live. "I was shooting the last fight scene and I almost ripped my glute. I almost ripped my glute in the first shot I ever did. I was so nervous. I had to have a physio called in and have my butt cheek massaged for the rest of day."

R.Pattz looked dapper in a green hound tooth Gucci suit. It happened to be the same color as, well, mine!

Sadler asked Kristen Stewart who she thought wore it better.

"Well, I think they're so different and they compliment both of you as individuals," K.Stew said. "And I think you both look gorgeous tonight."

Aw, shucks.

More of Kristen's Interview with Backstage Magazine

The current issue of Backstage features Kristen Stewart on the cover, talking about her upcoming films “The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 2” and “On the Road.” However, she chatted with Backstage about much more than that! Here are some outtakes from the conversation, where she talks about her other films, including the Mary Stuart Masterson-directed indie “The Cake Eaters,” in which Stewart delivered a physical tour-de-force playing a girl with an incurable neurological disorder.

On being misrepresented in the press:
“There’s been a couple of things recently where I just went…what the fuck? It always ends up being something that you kind of said but it’s changed so…I don’t even want to say ‘masterfully,’ because it doesn’t take an intelligent person to do this, it just takes a very conniving, manipulative capitalist motherfucker. The thing is, some people live on the battlefield and some people don’t. I just don’t live my life like that so I never anticipate those things. But you encounter people in your life that are about divide and conquer, and it’s crazy.”

More of Kristen and Stephenie's Interview with LA Times + New Picture

On Twilight:

“The first one felt like our one-shot, didn’t it?” Meyer asks Stewart during a recent wide-ranging interview with the L.A. Times. “[Our attitude was] we are all going to go have fun and make a vampire movie and that’s it, we will walk away from it. I don’t think anyone of us thought it was going to be five years of our life.”

On the Pressure of the Saga:

“I never let the imposing, ever-present cloud of pressure affect me,” Stewart said. “To me, it was all pressure from the inside. Not the outside. That could have been crippling. You would wind up playing a really disjointed character if you were trying to satisfy a hundred thousand girls.”

“And every girl wants something different from each other,” added Meyer.

“I wanted to protect [Bella] so badly. That’s how I find myself gravitating to certain roles,” she said. “I have to say though, considering we didn’t know we were going to finish the series, we made the first one our own in a way I would never, ever, ever feel humanly comfortable doing later on. I was much more concerned with detail later on in the series.”

New Rob and Kristen Interview with RTL Radio (France) from BD2 LA Press Junket

Translation

Rob and Kristen are asked in what state of mind they are now that it's over.

Rob: I'm not sure if I feel sad now, it was never intending to make more than one but it's weird since we've finished filming for so long and we knew we'd have to do promo for ages. It's gonna be the last premiere soon and then it's over the next day. It's a strange feeling to see my life goes by so fast like this, I really feel like I'm .

Kristen: I don’t have to say good bye to Bella. I made these movies because I wanted her to be part of me. The most important is that we passed the movie from the book to the fans. We gave them the story. These movies are very important for them. The populairty of the movies will last forever.
I just need something new to do now and I didn’t find it yet.

Rob and Kristen are asked how they deal with all the structiny around their lives.

Rob: The thing about Twilight, with tabloids it was easy to compare and combine with our lives, like 'oh they love each other like edward and bella' it's so oversimplified and maybe it'll change, I don't know. The thing is to keep control when things get too much, you lose it and you're willing to do everything to get it back. It takes time and you have to listen to your guts, identify your priorities but it was difficult with so many people and money at stake.

Kristen: It’s so far from us ….It’s trange, we didn’t know it would become a franchise. It was a small project, like a little movie at the beginning.Honestly, we worked very hard on the first movie, anybody would have be terrified. The big difference between now and before is that I’m grown up and I can control my fears. I know they will always be there but I know how to use them.

New Rob Interview with The San Francisco Chronicle

In some roles played over long periods, performers can find a way to make their character evolve, bend to their will. But in the glittering vampire world of "Twilight," star Robert Pattinson found that some things really do last forever.

"It's a strange character because there's not too many places to go," says Pattinson of much lusted-after, noble "vegetarian" vampire Edward Cullen. "He's gonna be around forever, he can't die, can't get hurt, his emotions are quite fossilized as well. I think (series author Stephenie Meyer) mentioned this in a book: With vampires, once you start feeling one thing, it just stays like that for ages. Once he's fallen in love with Bella, that's it. There's no other place to go but worrying about her."

Pattinson looks fit, if surprisingly thin, and perfectly put together as he puffs on an electronic cigarette in this Four Seasons suite in Los Angeles. However, with the promotional blitz for the franchise's final film - "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" - only just begun, he's already sounding a touch weary, though unfailingly polite and willing to answer questions. Perhaps it's the sound of a man with one more hill before the finish line.

Kristen Makes Second Donation to Shoe Revolt

Even if you know little about Kristen Stewart, you probably know that her signature look includes an awesome pair of Converse sneakers! Kristen has once again chosen to use her fame to take a stand against human trafficking and sexual coercion. You may remember last year when Kristen Stewart's signed Keds raised $1,500 for Shoe Revolt and its partner programs.

Each year, an estimated 200,000 American youth, primarily girls, are at high risk to falling prey to a form of human trafficking called sex trafficking. This is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. The fact is traffickers, known as pimps, have declared war on the American youth. For pimps, teens are not human beings but property; they see teens simply as a means to gain profit. The average age of entry into prostitution in the U.S. is 12 to 14 years old.

Shoe Revolt is pleased to announce that our next auction will kick off appropriately with the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2 on November 16th. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on an autographed pair of size 7 charcoal Converse sneakers signed by Kristen Stewart. What better way to show your support for Kristen then to make a bid and support such a worthy cause.

New Rob and Kristen Interview with The Philippine Star

How do you feel now that the Twilight Saga has ended, sad or relieved?

Kristen: (Heaving a big sigh) Well, for five entire years I had the same moments tapping me on the shoulder and telling me that, you know, I was not free to think of anything else but Bella Swan. Usually, we did that over a five-month period and so at the end of five years I’m…hmmmm, I wouldn’t say “relieved” because it’s slightly misleading because I don’t want people to think that I want it to be over. But I do believe that five years is a long enough time to live in that fantasy world, so it’s nice to walk away at this point.

Robert: I’m not sure if I should feel sad about it but it definitely feels strange. Once you play the character a few times, it really does become like second skin to you and when it’s done, you do miss it. I mean, not yet but I know that one day, in a few years time, I will see one of these movies on TV and I guess I will feel strange.

New Kristen Interview with The Philippines Daily Inquirer

LOS ANGELES—“I have been asked a lot about growing up lately,” Kristen Stewart said in a recent press conference, in reply to a question about what she had learned about herself, especially this year which saw her go through a turbulent few months.

“One solid thing I can say is that fear is not necessarily a bad thing,” declared Kristen, clad in a Stella McCartney dress and sporting Christian Louboutin shoes. “It’s something that, as you get older, you can get a bit more comfortable with. Fear is a very motivating thing in life. You should not be crippled by it—use it instead.”

Kristen said that with the release this week of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 2,” the media interviews were making her feel like she was “graduating from high school.” The actress remarked, “Everyone’s asking, ‘What have you learned at the end of this ‘Twilight’ experience? What did ‘Twilight’ do to you?’ You pick up, drop off so many different inhibitions and you’re never going to have none. Fear is a good thing.”

Back stories

Is this really the end of the “Twilight” series? How about prequels and sequels? “We’ve spoken to Stephenie (Meyer) about it since the beginning,” came Kristen’s quick reply. “Are there going to be more books? I think Stephenie has decided that Edward and Bella are allowed to be happy forever now. We’ve gotten them to a really good place. I think we should leave them alone.”

Then Kristen offered a tantalizing prospect to “Twilight” fans: “There are so many back stories that haven’t been explored. There’s the wolf pack …”

On the final movie itself, which costars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, of course, she had this to say: “Bill (Condon, director) really does twist the knife at the end of this one for anybody who doesn’t really want to say goodbye yet. I still feel like I don’t have to say goodbye, though. That’s the beauty of making movies. They’re not going anywhere.”

New Rob and Kristen Interviews with RTL (Belgium) from BD2 LA Press Junket

At what moment did you realise the saga was bigger than you thought?

Rob: It started with the first movie. There's a convention in San Diego called Comic Con, I saw fans going nuts, thinking already of the next movies. People were screaming backstage, I told myself, 'what's happening here, what's gonna happen when we go out on the stage. We're gonna storm the stage or something.'
