Philip Glenister Talks About Rob's Fans During Bel Ami Filming
So how was it working with such impressive actors on the risqué period drama? Word is, Uma can be temperamental.
‘She’s bonkers,’ he jokes. And then there was Robert, one of the hottest actors in the world thanks to his role in the Twilight films. ‘We were filming at a house in Hertfordshire adjoining a school. The pupils got wind of it and started chanting, “Robert, Robert”. We had to threaten them with cattle prods!’

David Cronenberg talks about Rob at the David Cronenberg talked about Rob and 'Cosmopolis' at the Queen's University Film and Media Courses (March 13th)
His film Cosmopolis, based on the novel by Don Delillo, is in post-production. It stars Robert Pattinson as a Manhattan millionaire.
The film was shot in Toronto, a favourite shooting location of Cronenberg’s.
“I’ve never shot a foot of film in the U.S., even though a lot of my movies are set there,” he said.
Toronto also provided a refuge for Pattinson’s international celebrity, he said.
“When we were shooting on the streets, [Pattinson] had a lot of fans crowding around, but he could go to bars and clubs in his street clothes and people didn’t recognize him,” he said.
Cronenberg said Pattinson has a deep knowledge of cinema with a talent that stretches beyond what is shown in the Twilight Saga franchise.
“He’s a very serious actor. He wants to be great and takes the trouble to try and be great,” he said. “What he does in [Cosmopolis] will lay that question to rest, which a lot of people who are skeptical of Twilight are asking.”
Pattinson wouldn’t be the first actor to be recognized for his talent in a Cronenberg film.

Actress Charlize Theron called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday to chat about being a new mom, her new movie “Snow White and the Huntsman,” and the fierce walk she uses in the Dior commercials.
On Co-Star Kristin Stewart:
“I think she’s incredible and she’s been an actress that I’ve been watching for awhile, and she didn’t disappoint. She’s amazing, absolutely just a joy to work with,” Charlize says.
On Playing The Evil Queen in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’:
“I was watching television one night and ‘The Shining‘ came on and I was like, ‘Oh my god, that’s is, she’s Jack Nicholson in The Shining.’ She’s locked in her hotel castle going slowly crazy. Not at all am I going to take credit that that’s the performance I gave, but it was definitely very inspiring for me.”
On Being a New Mom:
“It’s been amazing, the amount of emails and congratulations. Everyone’s just been so lovely, so it’s been really nice,” she says. “I didn’t think I would be a fan of the swaddling, but the swaddling is pretty amazing. It looks a bit like a straight jacket, but for some reason they just love it.”
On Dior Commercials
We have all seen Charlize in the Dior commercials, and her fierce walk leaves most of us feeling a bit inferior. So, Ryan wondered how long did it take to master that walk? “I am available for classes, I won’t even charge you. We have to get you the right shoes first. Then we will master the walk and it might include a see through dress, it helps,” Charlize said. Check out the commercial, and listen to the full interview below.

Reese talks Rob ~ "He's great. And oh my God, so handsome!"
While doing promo for 'This Means War', Reese Witherspoon talked about Robert Pattinson, who she worked with in 'Water for Elephants'.
In the movie, the star of the Twilight saga, plays a vet student that joins the circus in the beginning of last century.
In the movie, Reese plays a character called Marlena, the circus' star, engaged to an animal trainer.
“He's great. And oh my God, so handsome!”
The actress praised Pattinson's effort to manage two jobs at the same time.
“What surprised me was his dedication. He would film all weekend long, then spend the week on the Twilight [set], then another weekend filming, then more Twilight... And he still had that lightness, humility. He's very grateful for everything he's been living.”
