Mathieu Amalric from Cosmopolis Mention Rob in an Interview

In fact, Almaric -- best-known to American audiences through his roles in "Munich, "Le Scaphandre et le Papillion" ("The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"), and "Quantum of Solace," has been a director longer than he's been an actor. As a teenager, he took a job as a trainee AD on Louis Malle's "Au Revoir les Enfants" and he won Best Director at Cannes in 2010 for "Tournee." He has also worked with some of France's best directors, of course -- among them Arnaud Desplechin and Alain Resnais -- and he'll next be seen in David Cronenberg's forthcoming "Cosmopolis," playing a "pastry assassin" who creams Robert Pattinson in the face as part of his mission to sabotage power and wealth worldwide. Almaric sat down with The Playlist to talk about his philosophies on- and off-screen, and why he feels an actor is "nothing."

As the pastry assassin, you get to throw a pie in Robert Pattinson's face and then give a six-page monologue.

Cronenberg is very close to the book. And Rob is a great guy. Yeah, yeah -- it's a tough scene. I had to speak in English, and Cronenberg shot it in one sequence, where you do the whole scene in one shot. It was very physical, and I spoke so much. And you're afraid, because it's Cronenberg! [Laughs] But you manage to learn your lines, and I'm always surprised when I manage to be able to say the words in complete order, you know? I don't know how it's possible. But I think it's going to be an amazing film, especially because he shot it in order, exactly as it happens in the book, about a man who gets broken.

So Saturday night/Sunday morning at 4am, my friend and i are at the hotel (good thing that it the week end)anyway, we wait and wait... 5:30 am still nothing. i decide to smoke a last cig and i'll go home, they wont come, or maybe they're already inside, sleeping... but i hear footsteps behind me, and ppl talking English, i turn my head and BAM THE SHOCK! HBG, John and another guy are walking toward me, and right behind them...OUR BBS !! Yep, while we were expecting them in a car, i see them taking a walk in Paris' streets at 6am!! Anyway they keep walking toward me, i look at them and all i can do is to whisper "awwwwww i love you guys", of course they hear me and smile. They pass by me, i watch them from behind, and im like "awww aawwww awwwww" and they're inside the hotel. And I'm dead !! They were holding each other sooo tight.They were walking "arm in arm". His arm was on her shoulder, she had her arm around his waist, he was holding her sooo close, she was sooo tiny, and perfect in his arms!! he was leaned toward her so their heads were touching and i think their were holding hands with their free hand !!! that why i "awwwww"ed !! it was SUPER CUTE!! It was wonderful to see them walking like a "normal couple" without having to run from papz. I will forever remember this !!

Joseph Morgan from Vampire Diaries Mentions Rob

Robert Pattinson's Twilight fame would be too much for The Vampire Diaries hunk Joseph Morgan though.

The British actor, who plays the evil Klaus on hit TV series The Vampire Diaries, says he would be frightened by the level of adoration the Breaking Dawn actor has.

He exclusively told OK.co.uk: "Rob Pattinson's fame would absolutely freak me out."

Another Rob interview on set of 'Bel Ami'

Robert Pattinson may have found fame playing the sweet and sensitive Edward Cullen in 'Twilight', but omg! can reveal the real-life Rob has a penchant for bad-boy behavior. Oooh!

The gorgeous actor told us exclusively exactly what he got up while filming upcoming movie 'Bel Ami' and we were pretty shocked with his response!

Robert said "I liked fighting and drinking in Budapest [laughs]."

We think he meant while in character filming scenes in the Hungarian capital, but maybe this is what he got up to after hours.

Rob in a fight? We can only hope this was over us!

Talk turned to what drew him to his latest on-screen venture and how it differed to 'Twilight'.

"It was exhausting trying to fit so much in [to the film]," Robert said.

"'Bel Ami' is something different, every actor who has come on set is so baffled by the fact my character Georges doesn't get his comeuppance."

But what we're really concerned about is which women are locking lips with our one true love in the film?

Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas each get up close and personal with Robert in the movie and wow are we jealous.

And the actor only had good things to say about his co-stars too: "They are all very strong and had long careers so they know exactly how they want to do things.
