Kellan Talks About Rob's Style
The hunky blond has already graced the Joseph Abboud, General Idea and Tommy Hilfiger shows with his presence, and on Saturday morning, he came out to check out Lacoste's new designs.
We got a chance to chat with the turtleneck-loving star backstage about his own sense of fashion and which of his Breaking Dawn costars he thinks has the best sense of style.
So which fashion-forward Twilight hunk gets Emmett Cullen's seal of approval?
"Out of our cast, Jackson probably has the best male style," Kellan said of the Singapore native, who plays Jasper Cullen in the films. "He rocks those cowboy boots like no other."
But don't worry, Team Edward and Team Jacob: Kellan thinks Taylor Lautner has "great style," and Robert Pattinson? "He has his own thrown-together-but-looks-amazing style."

I make love in the limo! Belonging to Robert Pattinson, fabulously wealthy man who wants it all and loses it all! It sounds like Cronenberg, doesn’t it? Director of photography, Peter Suschitzky, lights up each shot like a painting. Robert and I were alone in the car with a camera and a microphone, and we could hear David’s voice coming from a distance: we would redo a take, then another one, etc. There was something clinical about it, which for me was a change from Amos Gitai or Abel Ferrara.

The trailer for the fifth and final "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn Part 2," will debut exclusively on "The Hunger Games" in March -- the first significant example of synergy between Lions Gate Entertainment and its new subsidiary Summit Entertainment.
When the studio acquired Summit in January, Lions Gate executives touted the opportunities that would come from bringing together two of Hollywood's hottest young adult franchises. Because fans tend to get excited about seeing the first trailer for a highly anticipated sequel, Lions Gate is betting it can bring the huge base of "Twilight" fans to the opening weekend of "The Hunger Games," which debuts March 23.
"'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' trailer will debut exclusively on every 'Hunger Games' print on its opening night for what will be Lions Gate's largest release ever," Santa Monica-based Lions Gate's chief executive Jon Feltheimer said on a conference call with analysts Friday following the release of its financial results.
While anticipation for "The Hunger Games" is high, the film is still a risk for Lions Gate, which spent nearly $100 million to make the picture before the benefit of tax credits and international pre-sales. This is the studio's biggest film budget to date. The company is counting on a successful launch for the March release to not only generate immediate profits but create momentum for three planned sequels. "Breaking Dawn Part 2" will open in November.
A successful launch for "The Hunger Games" will help Lions Gate to replace Summit's "Twilight," which ends its run on the big screen with the fifth installment. Four previous movies have grossed a total of $2.5 billion worldwide and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in profits.
Asked on the conference call whether there could be a sixth "Twilight" film," Lions Gate motion picture group co-chairman and former Summit co-chief Rob Friedman said that was entirely up to Stephenie Meyer, author of the teen vampire books.
If she were to write a sixth book, he said, Lions Gate would eagerly support it with a big screen adaptation.

Bill [Condon] told me they were going to break it up in two parts because the book was so large,” recalls American Visual Effects Supervisor John Bruno of his initial meeting with the Oscar-winning writer-director to discuss the cinematic adaptation of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Bruno was intrigued by the concept. “Bella [Kristen Stewart] gets married, has vampire sex, becomes pregnant, loses 30 pounds, gets sick, is close to dying, they forcibly get the baby out of her, she dies and comes back as a vampire in Part One; in Part Two, we get to experience everything that happens to her as a vampire. I thought, ‘Well, that’s different. I like this.’” 1275 visual effects shots had to be completed within a schedule of three months. “It was broken down that the wolves would be [the responsibility of Phil] Tippett.” Beyond refining the signature shape-shifting creatures there were two more major issues. “The other things were the ‘Bella Effect’ and the Renesmee Baby, which in the next movie grows rapidly [into an adult].” Bill Condon needed to be guided through the unfamiliar world of visual effects. “Bill said, ‘I trust you know what you’re doing,’” recalls Bruno who had to address an overriding concern for the filmmaker; Condon did not want the performances of his actors to be replaced digitally. “The biggest thing in this whole approach was to never lose the expression and the emotion in the eyes of the characters.”

I promise it’s not false modesty though. There are very, very few actors whose name you know… even people like me and Rob Pattinson, who are at the moment big names and bankable – whatever that means – there are very few actors whose saying yes to something would mean a green light for that film. I think probably George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp, are the only three that have that kind of pull, and that comes from how they’ve had very long careers and are universally respected as actors and as professionals. So there’s a long way to go before we’re at that stage.

"His character is iconic and there's a huge following of the books but there's a tremendous amount of pressure that comes with that.
"People have their own very distinctive ideas of how a character should be portrayed especially when you're playing a vampire."
But the gorgeous star admits that Robert has needed more than just Edward Cullen to turned him into a superstar.
He said: "Having the talent helped, Robert is quite charming and humble in the press during interviews which helps.
And Joseph revealed that he has the same fear as RPattz about being typecast, adding:
"I do worry thought that after Vampire Diaries finishes how many fans will come with me to watch other projects that I do and if it's just the vampire phenomenon that made us [me and Robert] famous. It's harder for Robert though."
Judging by Joseph's looks, we don't think it's just talent or the acting gig he's got that draws the fans in but it's clearly something he worries about.
"It's too early to say if I think I've been typecast, but I've been forced to take on different roles but I'm not going to lie I have done jobs just to pay the rent."
Naturally we had to ask if he'd like to reach the dizzy Hollywood heights that Robert has to which he replied rather diplomatically…
"That guy is more famous than anyone at the moment, of course I'd like to have Robert Pattinson's career but I don't like the whole celebrity aspect of it.
"I'm not interested in having a photo shoot in a magazine it allows people to buy into you too much. I'm not against talking about my personal life but I don't want it to be a soap opera.
"I'm not saying Robert's is, but he can't escape it - like the gossip around who is he dating, I don't want all that."
But that's what we REALLY need to know! Our final question to the actor was if he watched Twilight in preparation for his role in Vampire Diaries…
"I watched the first one but didn't want to play it the same as Robert.
"I thought he was good, there are so many parallels drawn between Twilight and Vampire Diaries that it was better for me not to watch it."
Joseph, we think your life would be better with Twilight (and Vampire Diaries) in it, ours certainly is!
