Rob Talks to The Herald about Bel Ami and His Character

Twilight made him a heartthrob ... and Robert Pattison is ramping up his sexual adventures in his new film which is previewed at Glasgow Film Festival. He talks to Will Lawrence:

"There are lots of attractive women in the film," says Robert Pattinson of his latest screen release, Bel Ami.

"Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristen Scott Thomas..." He pauses before flashing a smile. "And I sleep with all of them!"

After five years cocooned in a teenage Twilight world of angst, anger, vampires and werewolves (in which sleeping with people is a complicated process), the 25-year-old Englishman clearly enjoyed this romp through 19th-century Paris.

Perhaps the best known of the six novels by French short story writer Guy de Maupassant, Bel Ami is certainly his most subversive, savage and ironic piece, charting the tale of Georges Duroy, a young man who travels through 1890s' Paris, from cockroach-plagued garrets to magnificent salons, employing his wits and beauty as he bids to rise from poverty to fame.

Q1: Have you ever compared Snow White and Bella?

Yes, and they have like a hundred common points. They're both kind of matriarch. Women who take care of their family above all. I don't see Snow White as the cartoon's character who's stuck in everyone's head. When I was little, my parents didn't read me fairytales, I don't know this culture. A lot of people tell me that they can't wait to see the movie because it's kind of a rereading of the myth, but it's all new for me. I didn't know what to expect when I was reading the script. It was the same for Twilight, I'd never heard any vampire stories.

Q2: Do you listen music when you're shooting, to put you in some state of mind?

Totally. When I'm in my trailer, some artists help me to put myself in my character's shoes. On the shooting of Snow White, I was listening to Adele's album all days long. I was picturing me taking the head of the battles with her songs for soundtrack.

I have been contacted by Trois Couleurs, a French cultural magazine distributed by MK2, which is producing the On the Road movie. They will be publishing a 196-page special issue devoted to OTR, Jack and his friends in March, and they will be interviewing me for an article which will be included. I'll tell you - the cool and crazy things and people I keep finding on my journey! I am one lucky man, and I appreciate it every day.

The magazine's twitter also tweets there will be an English version of their special #OnTheRoad Issue.

New Kristen fan pic + Video from Paris + Fan Account

The fan, Noemie and her friends heard about Kristen being in Paris so they took the train a few hours later to meet over there and try to see her. She was alone at first and stopped in front a hotel where a few fans were. She asked them about it and they sent her to a different hotel but then her bff told her that Kristen was seen at the exact hotel she was with those girls. (ashamed of these fans tbh)

As she got back to the hotel, she saw a van arrived. Kristen got out and hugged a few fans. She looked tired but had a big smile on her face for her fans. Then that fan saw the On The Road, producer enter the hotel. she waited until he was alone and asked him a few questions about promo and he told her that the movie is done, there was never any technical problems with it, they just wanted to wait for a big occasion to attract as many people as possible (I'm guessing Cannes).

The next day, at night, she's back in front of her hotel with the other fans. a van stops, her French bodyguard tells them she's gonna meet them but that the papz should stay behind the fans. She gets out, signed a few autographs, it's the chaos, everyone is taking pics. That girl got to take a pic of her friend with Kristen, then she fangirls about Kristen was looking at her lens lol. she takes another pic but then the fans are surrounding her so they made her go inside. Then fans start to speculate over whether or not she's gonna go out at night but then HBG comes down and told them 'Kristen asked that they don't freeze for her and should go home.'

The next day at 6:30am, she got out with her team but by the back door to avoid the papz.
