Snow White Filming moved up thus giving Kristen enough time to Promote Breaking Dawn

Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White and the Huntsman will not interfere with promotion for Breaking Dawn.

In a brilliant move by Universal, EW reports they have moved up the release date of the film by six months! Not only does this beat rival Relativity’s Snow White (with Julia Roberts) release date by four weeks, but now production can get rolling earlier because Stewart’s availability for filming was in jeopardy.

As you Twi-Hards know, Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out in November 18, 2011 and Kristen and Robert Pattinson will have the most promotional duties leading up to it.

Now, with Snow White‘s earlier release date, studio sources tell us they are moving up filming at least a month to early August rather than September.

Director Gus Van Sant mentions Rob in a new interview with MTV!

When Robert Pattinson told us Gus Van Sant would be his ideal director for "Breaking Dawn" because the material is "all about teenage love and obsessions," it turned out Van Sant himself was listening.

As the director revealed to MTV News at the Cannes Film Festival, Pattinson's suggestion led directly to Van Sant joining the short list of helmers in March 2010.

"I've never met [Pattinson], but I think that's where it started," he said. "I had heard him mention it in the press. So I thought, 'Oh, is that even actually a possibility? Would they even hire someone like me for this film?' That's how I got all involved in it. I told my agent, so I became one of the directors."

The other directors being considered at the time were Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon. Each reportedly met with Summit Entertainment, with the job eventually going to Condon. Before he was passed over, however, Van Sant had what he called a very nerve-racking meeting with studio execs.

"I got very nervous," he said. "There were, like, 15 people. I had never really auditioned or gone into a job interview in that way since maybe 1988 or '87. I guess I was unprepared for it. Usually people just hire me.

"In this case, they wanted me to talk about their project, which really needed to follow very closely the book and which the outline was following very closely the book," he added. "There was a certain amount of room for illumination on their own project, but they were the experts. I was talking about the book, and really all I was saying was, 'OK, this is great, let's go to it.' That was the pitch. I think they're used to something else. They're used to, for those of you who might audition for film jobs, a 40-minute dissertation with perhaps visual aids and a pep talk about how fantastic this project is going to be. I just didn't know how to do that."

The Sexiest Guys 2011/Robert Pattinson in “Water For Elephants”
Rob: We shot with the elephant named Tai, so now that she’s not around I miss her (laugh). I could just spend the whole day sitting next to her, no problem. She would never step on anyone, or hurt anyone, or anything like that. There’s an incredible charm to elephants.

Q:The charm of this movie?
Rob:Working with amazing actors like Reese and Christoph, for starters. When I met Tai, I thought there way no way anyone else should get this role. In the beginning, I couldn’t have imagined it, but every day was just a series of incredible experiences.

Updated with Translation: Robert Pattinson in ‘Donna Moderna’ Magazine Italy

Here is the translation courtesy of @CSI_Robsten!! Thanks so much sweetie!!

NEW interview with Donna Moderna (Italy)|Rob Pattinson:

-Where's your house?
"I don't have one. Or rather, I have my parents' house in London, but my room has become a sort of warehouse where I leave the stuff I can't take with me. I can't take too many things, 2-3 bags at most. That's why I always wear the same clothes."

- We will see you in Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2 soon.
"They are the harder movies of the series, and I wonder how they're going to distribute them with a PG 13 rating. There are a lot of sex scenes and so many other things that are not suitable for children" (his look gets mischievous and cheerful)

- How similar are you to Edward?
"We both think sex without love doesn't make sense"

-What if they asked you to keep playing this role?
"That's a closed chapter. I've just finished filming Bel Ami where I play a cynical, seducer, social-climber. Then I will be the main character in David Cronemberg's Cosmopolis. I'll play the role of an American millionaire who, within 24 hours in Manhattan, lives his descent into hell. I still can't believe I'll be working with a director like Cronemberg. And I even wanted to quit acting after Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire! Nobody wanted me, while my band was starting to sign its first contracts and earn some money. Then I got offered the role of Salvador Dalì in Little Ashes. After that movie I realized I really liked acting and put music aside."

- So you won't play a romantic role ever again?
"Never say never. But I need to change a bit, or either the audience and I would get bored eventually." Panic: we're already orphan because of Leonardo Di Caprio, will we be orphan because him as well? It would be a bad piece of news since I'm interviewing the romantic hero Pattinson on the romantic wedding day between William and Kate. I don't even have the time to finish the sentence that he asks "How did the Royal Wedding go? Have they already kissed?" Yes, the kind of kiss you and Kristen shared in public...And there's back his polite and irresistible smile, as he explains "I've been avoiding this topic for years, but I can say I love big love stories"

Official Press Release~ Snow White and the Huntsman Release Date Now June 1, 2012

Universal announced late Sunday that it is making a bold bid for Snow White supremacy, setting a June 1, 2012 release for its take on the classic fairly tale, Snow White and the Huntsman. The film will star Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the title roles.

That date will likely not sit well with executives at Relativity Media, which previously nailed down the opening date for its tale, now untitled but formerly known as Brothers Grimm: Snow White, on June 29, 2012.

The move is clear throwing down of the gauntlet, as Universal originally planned to release its movie in December 2012.

Both companies had been developing competing versions of the classic fairy tale, vying for top actors as well as production start dates.

Relativity was first on the Snow scene, picking up a script by Melissa Wallack in June 2010 and soon scoring a coup by landing Julia Roberts to play the evil queen. The project, a four-quadrant family adventure being directed by Tarsem Singh, has been casting throughout the winter and spring – Lily Collins is playing the title character, and Armie Hammer plays the prince — and was scheduled to start shooting before Universal’s project.

Huntsman, a revisionist take, was set up several months later, in late September, but came with a director, Rupert Sanders, and Joe Roth, the producer who began the industry’s obsession with fairy tales and classic kids stories with his billion-dollar grossing Disney movie, Alice in Wonderland.

The Unviersal movie scored a coup when it landed Twilight star Stewart to play Snow White in December. But the project floundered in the winter when the studio had trouble finding its Huntsman. Viggo Mortensen was in and out, several other actors circled, and it was only last week that Thor star Hemsworth signed on for the part. Charlize Theron is playing the queen, Pirates of the Caribbean co-star Sam Claflin is playing the prince.

Universal’s Sunday announcement made no mention of the competing movie. The studio only said “adjustments to the production timeline” had facilitated the move.

As Rupert and Joe were finalizing casting and preproduction of Snow White and the Huntsman, we realized that the ambitious and fully-formed world they had promised was blowing away all expectations,” said Universal Chairman Adam Fogelson and Co-Chairman Donna Langley jointly in the announcement. “We’re thrilled that Universal will be bringing this singular version of a timeless story almost seven months earlier than anticipated.”

Michael Fassbender: "I don’t suppose Robert Pattinson could just stroll down to Tesco without getting mobbed..."

'So how does it feel to be on the launch pad of global fame? So far he has managed to protect his below-the-radar life. Working with Brad Pitt, he witnessed the downside: “A young female fanbase is the toughest to slip and slide away from,” he says. “I don’t suppose Robert Pattinson could just stroll down to Tesco without getting mobbed. It is nice to be able to go out and continue to observe people, a luxury as an actor.”'

Kristen Think That Vampires Are Sexy

Kristen Stewart is convinced that vampires are sexy. And since she is the girlfriend of Robert Pattinson this comes as no surprise.
The 21-year-old-actress plays Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight Saga‘ and she can understand why her character would fall in love with blood-sucker Edward Cullen – who is portrayed by her real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson in the film series.

She said: “Vampires are very sexy. I think it’s because they’re meant to draw you in just to the point where they can then kill you. It’s like a forbidden fruit. If it’s something you can’t have, then naturally you just want it more. Maybe that’s why I was drawn to the role of Bella in ‘Twilight’.”
Although she can recognize the erotic qualities of the mythical creatures, Kristen wouldn’t be happy to be confronted by a vampire in real life.

She added: “I wouldn’t like to be confronted by a real vampire, though, as they can read your mind!”
Kristen doesn’t have to worry.
