Rob Turned Down Offer To Be The New Face of Burberry?

Rob

Twilight movie sensation Robert Pattinson has turned down a £1million deal to be the face of Burberry, declaring: “I’m an actor, not a model.” As vampire Edward Cullen, R-Patz, 24, has the looks, charm and charisma to melt every girl’s heart. And I can now reveal Robert is truly a man with artistic integrity too.

It was a straight “No” when the posh British style and accessories brand, headed by designer Christopher Bailey, came calling. My source in the fashion world revealed: “Christopher and the Burberry team were desperate to sign Robert as the main person in their new campaign. "It would grace all their stores worldwide and be in all the best publications. They went to Robert but he immediately, politely, turned them down.

“As far as Robert sees things he’s an actor by trade and that’s his art. He doesn’t want to start becoming a brand or anything.”

Burberry are one of the coolest brands out there when it comes to high-end fashion. In the past few years their
campaigns have featured Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (now shooting Transformers 3 in Hollywood), supermodel Agyness Deyn and Harry Potter star Emma Watson.
To say Christopher and Burberry are disappointed by the flat rejection is an understatement. My source continues: “Burberry really hoped Robert would do it. They know he wears Burberry occasionally and he’s met Christopher and the team before. They only wanted him. Robert’s look would have been perfect so they’re back to square one.”

New Interview 'Cine com' (Japan) Walker Premier Magazine Scans and Article Translation

=Robert Pattinson an Exclusive Interview”=

Rob:People ask me if I believe in existence of Vampires, I actually do not believe in the story.(Laugh)
Since I have been doing Edward, and every 6 months I come back to the set of Twilight and the crew would ask me “Haw have you been? You look a year older than last time I saw you.” Maybe that is why I feel like I age faster than usual. I just had my 24th birthday the other day, it seems like time flies so fast and I feel like I am 35 years old already.

Rob:Every time I finish the shooting and get away from the sequel, I forget how much this character meant to me, it is really sad. It is fun to come back to the set and do Edward and realize that I am trying to enhance my acting skill. It is really challenging to bring all the experiences I have done into my acting skill. Things happen and vanish, like supernova in a way. To be a well skilled actor, I would need another 10 years.

Rob:I have found really nice agent for myself; they are really close friends at the same time. The thing is, most of the Hollywood actors believe that the agents are the person who brings the new job, like “Oh, if you don’t fetch a good assignment, you are fired!”.
But I do not feel that way toward my agent. I think it is you that who seeks a new assignment for yourself. So, I keep a good friendly distance with them and they know where I come from. Not that I do not wish to success, but we have the same devotion toward work. Most of the movies I have done recently are the scripts that I had read before the opening of “Twilight”. Those are the scripts I read and I liked. There were some scripts that I thought it may not make it and all the sudden it become reality. I think I like one of those indies production better than the ones that you know who will be in and the date of the opening day already. Those are the one of the blockbusters but to me those that only seeks for the market is not interesting enough to be casted. I prefer an actor like a Futures trading dealer. It is much exciting.(laugh)

=Robert Pattinson STORY=

Rob: Fame is like an imaginary thing after all. If you are not talented, you can’t use the power of the fame. If you are famous, that doesn’t mean that you have them all, or you get the enough wealth to live happily ever after.
Gossips and Tabloids pick up every bit of the someone who got famous in this instant, and they do not care of invading one’s privacy at all. That is one of the reason people lose their interests in movies or the mysterious side of the actors.

Robert has started seeking his career after “Twilight saga” sequel. He does not wish to vanish his career in this hysteria and mass media’s too much attention.

Rob: This hysteria will soon over, like in a year or so; I try to ignore those crazy gossips. That is how I keep myself. I would like to do couple of more small productions, but I have my ambition to do a bigger film in the future.

Rob: It was really tough to go through that people recognize me as an actor who does the popular sequels. Most of the blockbusters has recognitions of that sort, but at least Kristin and I are not doing “Twilight” because of that.

He mentions that he also understands that because of this “Twilight” fame, people keep sending him all sorts of scripts and productions.

Rob: Because I did “Twilight” and recognized, people send me many scripts to have my eye on, but I don’t think I am changed in the way I choose the script. I do not have a special feature in myself, it is not too difficult to find a script. I tend to pick the ones that I haven’t done of.

Rob: Before I became an actor, I thought I could not complete anything. But now, I think I started to climb up my mountain. It may take 10 more years to say that I have all the confidence in what I do. I feel great to be an actor; acting makes me feel like I still have a hope in my future.

Rob: One thing I have fear about is what kind of projects I will do and how the public will react for that. It looks silly even to me sometimes, but that is my fear. That is why I don’t have publicist and I‘d like to choose what I will do by myself. It is a lot easier to have someone decide what you will do, but I do not want to blame someone other than myself when things went wrong. I wish to be a prudent actor, but I also know that it is difficult to control yourself that much as an actor. So, I think being in “Twilight” made a great progress in my acting carrier.

YRB Magazine: Kellan Lutz Talks About Rob and Compliments Him as Edward

"I don’t let a lot of stuff faze me; I don’t like being stressed out in life I don’t think I would have played a great Edward. I think what Rob [Pattinson] does with it is mind-blowing. They need someone like Rob to really give Edward so many layers without doing much. And I love my character to death. I would never want to give up Emmett – it doesn’t matter how many lines, it doesn’t matter if I’m number one on the call sheet – I love him to death, and I’d play him for 10 more movies.”

'Bel Ami' to Show at Berlin and Cannes Film Festivals in 2011?

From @NordicNina: Latest info from swed distrib about Bel Ami promo. It was made to Cannes-10 to sell the film. Plans show BA in Berlin or/and Cannes 2011.

From Bel Ami UK: Berlin runs in Feb with a cut off submission date of Nov 1st for feature length movies and Cannes runs in May, so lets hope that Bel Ami secures the final 3 areas [US, Spain & Japan] sooner rather then later so we can get this show on the road.

Our UK source yesterday emailed me with the following: “I understand this period is frustrating, but rest assured we will have news soon. Hopefully at least a rough indication of when we can expect the film to be released” so hang on in there it won’t be much longer!"

AM New York: Movie Review: 'Welcome to the Rileys'

3.5 stars
Directed by Jake Scott
Starring James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart, Melissa Leo, Ally Sheedy
Rated R

“Welcome to the Rileys” takes a premise that sounds like a bad gag — married man befriends a teenage stripper — and spins it into a powerful character drama.

Jake Scott (Ridley’s son) directs sensitively, with an eye for nuance and an absence of exploitation, and the downtrodden post-Katrina New Orleans setting amplifies the grim stasis that’s overtaken the lives of protagonists Doug Riley (James Gandolfini) and Mallory (Kristen Stewart).

The joy has seeped out of Doug’s marriage to Lois (Melissa Leo) after the tragic death of their daughter. The Indianan — a strong-willed, dignified man in the Big Easy on business — finds a new purpose in helping shape up Mallory, a scarred 17-year-old spending her days in a crumbling slum and her nights performing scantily clad in a seedy club.

These are complex, believable characters, wholly deglamorized and bestowed with the layered complications that define real life. The actors bring great conviction to their parts, deftly conveying deep-seated emotions without veering toward easy, obvious choices.

As the characters’ lives are renewed, and a shared sense of hope in the future is reborn, it’s hard to be anything but deeply moved, no matter any initial skepticism.

A Brazilian Hotel Guest Tells her Story of Having Lunch Next to Rob, Kristen and Stephenie

"I am from Sao Paulo and I lodged with my family in the hotel where the actors Kristen and Robert are - I'm visiting.

I'm not a fan of the saga, but I admire these actors. I found them at lunch, they were with Stephenie Meyer and a girl at a table and other
guys in another. I don't understand English very much, even less the

European accent the girl had, but I admire it and I could see that they
are really nice.
At the hotel they asked me if I was a fan and not to
bother them. I had no problem with it, I respect their space and
privacy.

Kristen approached where I was, next to the waiter, said something in English that he understood and replied, and she greeted
me. I gave her a greeting back, smiling. Kristen waited for the menu to
order. She was talking with the other girl in English and I couldn't
understand anything. Robert and Stephenie Meyer were on the table
waiting for her and looked to her a lot (not exaggerating).

For many girls who are fans of the series would have liked to be in my
place, however for me was like seeing ordinary people. I only found out
today that they came here to Brazil to shoot some scenes for the last
movie. I can say that Kristen is a very beautiful girl, Kristen and Rob
actually are together. They were very tender to each other, Robert is
very attentive to and loving towards her.

I'm staying for a week and I think I'll see them again. It's a pleasant experience. To see
these actors was something amazing. I never thought that where I would
stay I would find these actors who are admired by thousands and
thousands of fans."

UPDATE: Rob and Kristen Staying in Separate Rooms (Yeah Right)

*REMINDER: THERE WILL BE NO DETAILS ON LOCATION. I CUT THAT OUT OF THE POST FOR RESPECTFUL PURPOSES. *

The stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who play the couple of Bella and the vampire Edward in the saga of Twilight, fell in love in real life. But they prefer to stay in separate rooms. Theoretically.

On their way by river, occupy the suites (I will not post the numbers.) of (I will not post the hotel location) , two of the best rooms in the hotel. As neighbors, the rooms are connected to each other.
The couple, shy, not out of the room since I arrived around 11 am, leaving some frustrated fans who occupy the sidewalk outside the hotel, stay there in the hope of seeing their idols.
For those who move around the pool, the hotel zone, hopes to meet few Pattinson and Kristen. At least during the day. Because they are in the midst of recording, can not allow them in the sun and those who visit the city on a sunny day like today.

Just because they rented out two rooms, doesn't mean crap.
