Latin American duo Jesse & Joy - confirmed for 'Eclipse' soundtrack

The popular duo Jesse / Joy are the only Latin American band to participate in the soundtrack of the film "Eclipse", which will be launched on 8 June. The song composed by the duo portrays the typical melancholy of relationships in the saga of "Twilight."

"He speaks of these emotions that make you feel a love that, at a time, consider something magical, and there is a desire that makes you lose gravity. You feel like you're flying, and it's all love, " Jesse said in a telephone interview with a major Mexican newspaper.

Seeking to portray the love between Edward and Bella, played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the brothers wrote, a month ago, the words and music of the songMagic and Desire. Jesse and his sister, Joy, received the news of the request from London through his label, Warner Music.

"We asked for nothing in particular. We wanted to express that gloom which has in general the whole Twilight saga "Said Jesse.

On the popular romantic films, the outer Space intérprertes revealed that it was difficult to agree, as each one is a fan of one of the stories within the film series. "I liked the first one (Twilight), is one of my favorite movies"Said Jesse, while Joy prefers" New Moon. "

What most excites Jesse is the global reach of these productions have and give to your topic. "We were not bankrupt anyone. We were asked directly an issue, very excited about the issue of another type of exposure "He concluded.

Twilight Junkies Anonymous Shares their Experience at Oprah

Due to spoilers, the story has been placed under the cut!

Her “Eclipse” Review

I am still completely overwhelmed right now. And sleep deprived….I feel like I have a hangover! But I promised details, so here we go. Let me just say right now, that I am going to include spoilers for both Eclipse (but you guys all read the book, so really, you know what happens) and for the Oprah show.

Of course as soon as we ordered some food, we hear that people are starting to line up. We scarfed our food down, prayed that Rob wasn’t lurking around somewhere to see us scarf, and then headed down to the line. We were like the 3rd group in line. Yay!!!!

Oh yeah!!!! We are totally in the right place. The marquee actually said Eclipse at first, but I think they changed it to T.S.3 because of crashers.

Finally we got to the Oprah table to get our wristbands and popcorn coupons.

Oh the fun you can have with coupons and wristbands! LOL!

We had to take all these pictures of our coupons because when you turn them in for the actual popcorn and drink, you don’t get them back.

Once we got into the actual theater, we had decent seats and then spent the next hour waiting impatiently for Eclipse to begin and speculating whether or not Rob, Kristen and Taylor would show up for the screening. How could we have even dreamed that at that moment Rob was ringing doorbells in Naperville and other suburbs!!! (More on that later in my Oprah post!)

Okay, are you ready for Eclipse?????

I absolutely, positively loved Eclipse more than New Moon and even more than Twilight. It was that good! Yeah, there were a few moments where you could tell that they hadn’t quite finished, but all in all amazing. At one point, 2 of the wolves were still in cartoon form….to be filled in later, but that was really the only obvious sign that it was a work in progress.

Rob was gorgeous in Eclipse. He is much happier, less angsty. There were a lot of really really close up shots of his face….*sigh*, but Kassie pointed out that you could kinda see the make-up more. He wardrobe was hotter and more casual….I really hated that suit in New Moon.

Kristen was really great. I thought she was less twitchy. The wig had it’s good moments and bad moments. If she kinda had her hair swooped to the side off her forehead, it looked natural, but when it was parted down the middle, it looked very wiggy.

Taylor….is it possible that his abs got bigger, better and tighter? Holy hotness Batman!!! I’m not team Jacob, but man did Taylor look good. I think you guys will love his one liners, a little preview for Breaking Dawn. The tension between Jacob and Edward is really really there, and brings out some great lines from both Taylor and Rob!

The Cullens – Rosalie, Alice, and Esme looked much better, and very bad ass in the fight scene. Emmett looked hot as usual and he had some great one liners, but Carlisles hair was a bit of a hair helmet. I loved Jasper, despite his hideous hair, because that cute little Southern drawl made up for the bad hair and Jasper had a lot more to say in this movie!

Riley is totally hot, but Victoria is not. I miss Rachelle. Dallas Bryce-Howard doesn’t quite pull of bad-ass as well as Rachelle.

Highlights from Eclipse
-First of all, Eclipse has way more LOL moments than either of the other 2 movies combined.
-Definitely some hot and heavy making out with Edward and Bella. Me likey!
-Edward totally goes off on Jacob after he kisses Bella and she breaks her hand. Like he is really pissed! Not the angry, but still very calm Edward in the book. Really pissed off, yelling at Jacob, Edward. I ♥♥♥♥ angry Rob! He’s so freaking hot!
-The proposal included hot and heavy making out, the leg hitch (YEAH BABY!!!!!) and a very, very, (like brings tears to your eyes!) emotional Edward asking Bella to marry him. AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! It was really sweet. The best line here is after Edward thwarts Bella’s advances, and she’s like saying, you don’t want me, and Edward is like, “Bella, believe me, I WANT TO” GAH! You just gotta love the way Rob delivers that line!!!!
-The tent scene is basically what it is in the book. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The only thing that is missing, which I would have loved to have in the movie, was Edward unzipping the sleeping bag and Jacob falling out on the cold floor of the tent.
-The fight scene is kick-ass! I know it wasn’t totally done and fine-tuned yet, but you will love it. Everyone in the theater went “oooooh!” during the fight.
-Jasper telling Bella his backstory! You will love Jasper’s accent, and he is cute as hell in the flashbacks. Then after he comes back to the present, he and Alice share a cute little lovey dovey kissy moment. :) Yay!

Okay, those are some of the highlights that are popping up in my weary, sleep-deprived brain. I think I’m probably telling you way too much, and this post is already too long. I’ve decided to make it a two-part post. Part 2 will be about the Oprah show.

Robert Pattinson and Eclipse in Premiere Magazine - France (Scans and Translation)

The Twilight Saga Eclipse Teaser

Twilight fans don’t have to wait: Jacob, Bella and Edward are (already) back. Eclipse, directed by David Slade, comes out on July 7th (Note from FP: This is a French magazine so this is the French release date).

When New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight Saga, came out last fall (bringing in the modest amount of 707 million dollars throughout the world), shooting for the third installment had already been completed. Might as well beat the vampire while it’s still cold.

Chris Weitz handed the torch over to David Slade, the Director of 30 Days of Nights and Hard Candy, who we didn’t necessarily see at the helm of the franchise. “We met many Directors, explains the Producer Patrick Wachsberger. “David Slade had the ideal profile, on a special effects level as well as with his narrative talent. We have to remember that he revealed an amazing actress, Ellen Page, in Hard Candy. Eclipse will be a movie that is different from the previous ones. Bolder.”

The evil Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) will creat a vampire army to get revenge on Edward and Bella, who are back together (and soon to be wed?). “During the promotion of the first movie, people had asked me to insist on the fact that guys would love it, remembers Pattinson. I always replied: “Guys will never love this. This is a girlie movie!” I don’t know if it’s because it’s was directed by a man, but I feel like the second installment will be more masculin. Which the presence of David Slade on the set of the third has only amplified.”

Ladies rest assured: The striking stare of Rob Pattz and Taylor Lautner’s six pack will be seen both equally.

IRON MAN 2 Way Behind Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart’s NEW MOON: First Day Box Office

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart as Bella and Edward in New Moon (top); Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark in Iron Man 2 (bottom)

Iron suit or not, Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, wasn’t strong enough to surpass the first day opening of, gasp, a "chick flick": Chris Weitz’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Robert Pattinson’s lovestruck vampire and Kristen Stewart’s troubled human easily kicked iron ass. How ironic (awful pun intended), considering that Hollywood studios make movies geared to 12-year-old boys and tend to relegate women to the sides, both in front and behind the camera.

According to Box Office Mojo, Iron Man 2’s $52.4m opening, which includes approximately $7.5m it earned at Thursday midnight screenings, is no. 7 on the all-time list for first-day box-office grosses.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is no. 1 with $72.7m, followed by Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (the record-holder for a three-day weekend, with $158m), Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 3, Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

The original Iron Man opened with $35.2m in 2008.

Figures on the Box Office Mojo chart haven’t been adjusted for inflation, of course, though the difference wouldn’t have been too glaring since most of the movies found on their list are mid-to-late 2000s releases. Exception to this rule: movies that made most (or even a good chunk) of their money at 3D/IMAX venues, e.g., The Dark Knight, Avatar, Alice in Wonderland.

Robert Pattinson and Eclipse in Bravo Magazine (Germany) — Scans

A bloodthirsty vampire-army, snarling Werewolves, spectacular fights as a matter of life and death…
The new Trailer for Eclipse (in cinemas 15th of July) sends cold shivers down your back. So grim. Sinister. Dangerous. Casting chronicles: K. Stew is ‘On the Road,’ Tim Gunn is feeling blue

Kristen Stewart has been everywhere this week, from the Met's costume gala to ELLE magazine, and now she’ll be “On the Road."

The queen of supernatural love triangles has been cast as Marylou in a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel of the same name, according to THR. Brazilian filmmaker Walter Salles is at the helm of this movie, which will follow the cross-country adventure of Kerouac's alter-ego Sal Paradise. Stewart will play the wife of Paradise's friend, Dean Moriarty.

Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake will be “Friends with Benefits” in the upcoming romantic comedy written by Will Gluck, according to Variety. The premise for the movie appears to be exactly what it sounds like: Kunis and Timberlake portray two friends who run into complications when they try to make their friendship work with a few extra benefits on the side.

And now for two men who are making the move from the small screen to the cinema, with the first being E!’s Joel McHale, who was cast in “What’s Your Number?”

The romantic comedy, also starring Anna Faris, tells the story of a woman who looks back at the past 20 men she’s been involved with to see if one of them may be her true love. According to THR, McHale plays “the mildly charming boss” that Faris accidentally sleeps with (if you're wondering how one “accidentally” sleeps with another person, we're not entirely sure ourselves).

“Project Runway’s” Tim Gunn will hit the big screen in 2011 in “The Smurfs” as an executive assistant at a major cosmetics company, according to Variety.

'The Summer House' News - Screening at 'Worldwide Short Film Festival' in Toronto

It was also shown at the East End Film Festival in London on April 28th.

Another 'Eclipse' Review - Doing Just Enough To Encourage Fans, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Delivers

Spoilers under the cut

Written: May 06 '10
Product Rating: 4.0
Pros: Decent acting, character development, special effects, Sense that story is going somewhere
Cons: A lot feels very familiar.

The Bottom Line: The next installment in “The Twilight Saga,” “Eclipse” progresses the stories and relationships from the earlier films and is entertaining for viewers from teenagers up.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Series’ become tougher and tougher for non-fans the longer the series persists. Those who are not embedded in a phenomenon tend to be looking for something that builds on the prior installments while still giving viewers something that feels new, if not entirely familiar. So, for example, with “Twilight” (reviewed at: http://www.epinions.com/content_451430813316 ) the pressure on filmmakers was to please fans and get an audience who had not read any of the books intrigued in the story and characters. With “New Moon” (reviewed at: http://www.epinions.com/content_492450057860 ) the pressure was to retain the audience and not simply repeat the teen melodrama aspects and allow the audience to feel like the story was actually going somewhere. They largely succeeded. With “Eclipse,” the third installment in the “Twilight Saga,” the stakes are raised, especially for those who are not already glued to the series.

For that audience, the fear has to be that “Eclipse” will simply be a repetition of the two prior installments and will be more teen melodrama than anything else. After all, in “The Twilight Saga,” there is a romance to vampires and werewolves and much of Kristen Stewart’s acting involves alternately looking moon-eyed and falling down. With “Eclipse,” the formula is broken and the film fearlessly illustrates what it only implied in “New Moon,” that most vampires are actually angry and quite evil. While “New Moon” had the carnage off-screen, “Eclipse” illustrates it and the conflict becomes more than just a teenage “I love him,” “no, I love the other guy,” “no, I love the first guy more” story. And it is bound to be well-received by the fans. It was well-received by this non-fan.

Bella Swan and Edward Cullen have made it to Senior year of high school and as their relationship is deepening, Bella is applying to colleges and Edward decides to go through the motions of going to college to be with her and applies as well. But in nearby Seattle, Washington, there have been killings which Jacob knows are the work of vampires. Bella, despite Edward’s dislike of Jacob, continues to visit Jacob and with Jacob’s werewolf clan moves to deal with the vampires, Jacob becomes more protective of his best friend. When Edward and the Cullens are given proof that the problems in Seattle are the works of vampires, Alice sees the menace coming to Forks and the Cullens are forced to flee.

With an army of vampires descending upon Forks, Bella, Edward and Jacob flee in order to protect Bella as she appears to be the target of the rage of the vampires. With the attack imminent, the Cullen family joins forces with the werewolves in order to prevent the slaughter of humans and the exposure of both supernatural communities.

The nicest thing about “Eclipse” is that while the characters seem largely the same in the film, the plot has an almost constant sense of movement and the film feels like it is going somewhere. And where it goes is worth the wait. The key to who is behind the army of vampires and why makes perfect sense and the emotional resonance carries back to the final scene of “Twilight,” which works for those who have seen the prior installments. For those who have not seen “Twilight,” the motivations for Victoria are repeated enough so that she seems like a reasonable villain. Newbie viewers are more likely to be lost by the appearance of Jane and the Volturi than Victoria and her arc.

On the subject of Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard steps into the role beautifully and while fans might miss Rachel Lefevre, Howard does a good job of playing Victoria as both harsh and wounded. In fact, I didn’t even notice the recasting until the credits, that is how flawlessly Howard assumes the looks and mannerisms of Victoria as characterized by Lefevre.

On the character front, “Eclipse” does a decent job of progressing Bella, Edward and Jacob, though it narrowly misses recreating the sense of watching the same ridiculous love triangle in the prior film. The movie works in this regard because it leaves the characters with a much more firm sense of who each of the principles are and what direction they are headed in. Bella manages to swoon more for Edward and the resulting decisions she makes feel much more organic than simply having to choose between the two lead hunks. The result is that “Eclipse” will probably replay better than “New Moon” for those who are not looking at the series for the teenage romance aspect.

As far as performances go, Ashley Greene continues to steal her scenes as Alice Cullen, the vampire who is able to see the future (except when it is most useful). Fortunately, her vision is explained and explored more in this movie, as is Jasper’s twitchiness. Jackson Rathbone has played Jasper as twitchy and dark and in “Eclipse” he is given the chance to steal a scene or two for more than just chill factor. He portrays Jasper in a more adult fashion and when Jasper begins to take a leadership role in the planning of the combat, it is Rathbone’s performance which sells it.

The leading men do what they have done before, so there are no surprises from Robert Pattinson (Edward), Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Billy Burke (Charlie, Bella’s father) or Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen). Facinelli deserves a special note in that his role as the Cullen patriarch is given more importance in “Eclipse” and Facinelli makes good use of the screentime. His trick is to both provide a level of consistency and to make quiet scenes where Carlisle provides deeply human wisdom seem inhuman and Facinelli nails it.

Kristen Stewart continues to do a decent job of balancing Bella’s role as damsel in distress and normal teenage girl. In “Eclipse,” the role is a bit more physical for her and she seems up to the task. Waifish girls everywhere have a new role model in Stewart’s Swan and she plays off Pattinson well, so at the very least the film portrays a very real sense of sexual chemistry.

Finally, while “New Moon” had some morph effects which were not ideal (notably with werewolf transformations), “Eclipse” has the kinks worked out. The special effects are amazing and adult audiences are likely only to be disappointed in that they do not go far enough. The climactic battle has startlingly little blood for a conflict of its magnitude and those looking at this for an adult sense of realism are likely to be a little let down.

But those looking for something new to swoon about in Forks, Washington, where vampires and werewolves are real and they are all interested in teenagers, “Eclipse” is something to rave about.

Is Bella Swan the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo?

Kristen Stewart is just one of the young-and-pretty things circling director David Fincher's remake of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".

The original Swedish pic, a critically-lauded hit when it was released earlier this year, is an epic tale of serial murder and corporate trickery spanning several continents. It takes in complicated international financial fraud and the buried evil past of a wealthy Swedish industrial family.

According to Deadline, Fincher ("Zodiac") isn't sure whether he wants a fresh-face or a 'name' for the lead role - but if it's a young actress 'of note' he's after then he's going to certainly have his pick of the teen Movieline field. In addition to "Twilight" star Stewart, Carey Mulligan (who actually took the film's writer Steve Zaillan to lunch in an effort to help her cause), Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska,Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Thirlby, and Scarlett Johannsen are "all circling".

"David's process is very specific and private", an insider tells the site. "He's looking for authenticity and a degree of fierceness and believeability capable of delivering the intensity that the part on the page calls for."

Sony apparently isn't necessarily desperate to cast a name as the female lead, but definitely wants an A-lister for the male lead - with Fincher's "Se7en" and "Fight Club" star Brad Pitt already receiving the offer.

The Daily Herald Rips Rob for His 10 Minute Appearance with Oprah Fans

Apparently Oprah Winfrey coordinated this big “Twilight” themed contest recently. A local family (from Naperville, IL) received the grand prize: Robert Pattinson showed up on their doorstep.

I’m not a huge Oprah fan, but when I first heard about this story, I thought it was pretty cool. (I mean, imagine if George Clooney showed up on my doorstep…I’d be in heaven!) However, check out the fine print: Edward Cullen only stuck around for 10 minutes! Isn’t that kind of lame? He already traveled out of his way to get to freakin’ Naperville…would it have killed him to stay for a whole hour? Apparently so!

Maybe I’m being ridiculous, but I don’t think so.

Bella & Edward Top Fandango's Most Anticipated Movie Couples Of The Summer

Here’s a shocker. Those two crazy kids from the Twilight franchise topped a recent Fandango poll (given to EW exclusively!) ranking the summer’s most anticipated movie couples. SJP and John Corbett snagged spot No. 2 (ooh, that’s a burn, Chris Noth!), while poor Drew Barrymore and Justin Long just barely beat Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer (um, who? yes, exactly) for ninth place. Personally, I’m stunned (not really) that the golden comedic chemistry between Annette Bening and Julianne Moore in The Kids Are Alright didn’t make the cut. Oh well. Take a gander at the list. Who are you most jazzed about seeing on the silver screen in the coming weeks?

Top 10 Most Anticipated Summer Movie Couples:
1. Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson, Eclipse: 28 percent
2. Sarah Jessica Parker and John Corbett, Sex and the City 2: 17 percent
3. Robert Downey, Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow Iron Man 2: 14 percent
4. Julia Roberts & Javier Bardem, Eat Pray Love: 8 percent

News Guardian Reviews “Remember Me”

Robert Pattinson shines in a roll very different to Twilight

I HAD no idea what to expect from Remember Me.
I thought maybe a dark version of a Nicholas Sparks type story.

And in that respect, I suppose, I was close – but it was nothing at all like what I expected as this is a film that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

Tyler (Robert Pattinson) is a bit of a rebel, still coping with his older brother’s suicide several years earlier, he has a tense relationship with his dad (a rather snotty Pierce Brosnan), and a very close relationship with his little sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins).

When Tyler and his best friend and roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) try to break up a fight, they end up getting arrested and Tyler gets beaten up by one of the policemen.

Later Aidan sets up Tyler with the policeman’s daughter Ally (Emilie de Ravin) in order to get back at the copper who attacked him.

But Ally is struggling with a tragedy as well, and the two become drawn to each other in a series of really endearing moments.

The ending – which I won’t even hint at – came as a complete surprise to me.

I was sat watching the film, and enjoying it nonetheless, when I found myself thinking, how can this end?

And then it did – and I was utterly shocked, and saddened.

You really have to watch the film to see what I mean, but it will be both sad and uplifting at the same time.

GossipCop Polices Ted and his Oprah/RobSten Story

GossipCop Rob and Kristen Confirm They’re Dating — to Oprah!” screams a headline that sent Twilight fans into a frenzy this afternoon.

According to an E! Online story, when the cameras weren’t rolling on Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning – for an episode to air May 13 – Oprah Winfrey asked Pattinson and Stewart backstage if they were really a couple.

The report claims they “confirmed to Oprah backstage they are in fact dating.”

Oprah supposedly informed Pattinson and Stewart that she had to “go there” and ask on-camera if they were or weren’t together, knowing they wouldn’t address it seriously in public. But privately, “she wanted to know what was really happening.”

Says a so-called “spy”: “Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn’t be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen’s people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent.”

Walter Salles says Kristen was 'faithful' to project On the Road

Guys I'm giving you my translation to the article published today in the Brazilian media:

"Having confirmed the participation of Kristen in On the Road, Walter Salles (director) made compliments to the actress. He said he invited Kristen to participate on the project two years ago, after becoming impressed with her performance in Into the Wild. He says Kristen knows deeply the story of the book and that she remained faithful to the project throughout this whole period that the film was trying to get funding. He says Kristen is not afraid to take risks, especially when it comes to the fervent role that she is about to play. He also says that she could be participating on bigger films but she made the choice to participate on a low-budget movie"
