Is Bella Swan the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo?

Kristen Stewart is just one of the young-and-pretty things circling director David Fincher's remake of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".

The original Swedish pic, a critically-lauded hit when it was released earlier this year, is an epic tale of serial murder and corporate trickery spanning several continents. It takes in complicated international financial fraud and the buried evil past of a wealthy Swedish industrial family.

According to Deadline, Fincher ("Zodiac") isn't sure whether he wants a fresh-face or a 'name' for the lead role - but if it's a young actress 'of note' he's after then he's going to certainly have his pick of the teen Movieline field. In addition to "Twilight" star Stewart, Carey Mulligan (who actually took the film's writer Steve Zaillan to lunch in an effort to help her cause), Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska,Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Thirlby, and Scarlett Johannsen are "all circling".

"David's process is very specific and private", an insider tells the site. "He's looking for authenticity and a degree of fierceness and believeability capable of delivering the intensity that the part on the page calls for."

Sony apparently isn't necessarily desperate to cast a name as the female lead, but definitely wants an A-lister for the male lead - with Fincher's "Se7en" and "Fight Club" star Brad Pitt already receiving the offer.

The Daily Herald Rips Rob for His 10 Minute Appearance with Oprah Fans

Apparently Oprah Winfrey coordinated this big “Twilight” themed contest recently. A local family (from Naperville, IL) received the grand prize: Robert Pattinson showed up on their doorstep.

I’m not a huge Oprah fan, but when I first heard about this story, I thought it was pretty cool. (I mean, imagine if George Clooney showed up on my doorstep…I’d be in heaven!) However, check out the fine print: Edward Cullen only stuck around for 10 minutes! Isn’t that kind of lame? He already traveled out of his way to get to freakin’ Naperville…would it have killed him to stay for a whole hour? Apparently so!

Maybe I’m being ridiculous, but I don’t think so.

Bella & Edward Top Fandango's Most Anticipated Movie Couples Of The Summer

Here’s a shocker. Those two crazy kids from the Twilight franchise topped a recent Fandango poll (given to EW exclusively!) ranking the summer’s most anticipated movie couples. SJP and John Corbett snagged spot No. 2 (ooh, that’s a burn, Chris Noth!), while poor Drew Barrymore and Justin Long just barely beat Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer (um, who? yes, exactly) for ninth place. Personally, I’m stunned (not really) that the golden comedic chemistry between Annette Bening and Julianne Moore in The Kids Are Alright didn’t make the cut. Oh well. Take a gander at the list. Who are you most jazzed about seeing on the silver screen in the coming weeks?

Top 10 Most Anticipated Summer Movie Couples:
1. Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson, Eclipse: 28 percent
2. Sarah Jessica Parker and John Corbett, Sex and the City 2: 17 percent
3. Robert Downey, Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow Iron Man 2: 14 percent
4. Julia Roberts & Javier Bardem, Eat Pray Love: 8 percent
5. Ashton Kutcher & Katherine Heigl Killers: 8 percent
6. Russell Crowe & Cate Blanchett, Robin Hood: 6 percent
7. Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz, Knight and Day: 5 percent
8. Jake Gyllenhaal & Gemma Arterton, Prince of Persia: 4 percent
9. Drew Barrymore & Justin Long, Going the Distance: 2 percent
10. Vanessa Hudgens & Alex Pettyfer, Beastly: 2 percent

News Guardian Reviews “Remember Me”

Robert Pattinson shines in a roll very different to Twilight

I HAD no idea what to expect from Remember Me.
I thought maybe a dark version of a Nicholas Sparks type story.

And in that respect, I suppose, I was close – but it was nothing at all like what I expected as this is a film that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

Tyler (Robert Pattinson) is a bit of a rebel, still coping with his older brother’s suicide several years earlier, he has a tense relationship with his dad (a rather snotty Pierce Brosnan), and a very close relationship with his little sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins).

When Tyler and his best friend and roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) try to break up a fight, they end up getting arrested and Tyler gets beaten up by one of the policemen.

Later Aidan sets up Tyler with the policeman’s daughter Ally (Emilie de Ravin) in order to get back at the copper who attacked him.

But Ally is struggling with a tragedy as well, and the two become drawn to each other in a series of really endearing moments.

The ending – which I won’t even hint at – came as a complete surprise to me.

I was sat watching the film, and enjoying it nonetheless, when I found myself thinking, how can this end?

And then it did – and I was utterly shocked, and saddened.

You really have to watch the film to see what I mean, but it will be both sad and uplifting at the same time.

GossipCop Polices Ted and his Oprah/RobSten Story

GossipCop Rob and Kristen Confirm They’re Dating — to Oprah!” screams a headline that sent Twilight fans into a frenzy this afternoon.

According to an E! Online story, when the cameras weren’t rolling on Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning – for an episode to air May 13 – Oprah Winfrey asked Pattinson and Stewart backstage if they were really a couple.

The report claims they “confirmed to Oprah backstage they are in fact dating.”

Oprah supposedly informed Pattinson and Stewart that she had to “go there” and ask on-camera if they were or weren’t together, knowing they wouldn’t address it seriously in public. But privately, “she wanted to know what was really happening.”

Says a so-called “spy”: “Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn’t be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen’s people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent.”

Whether Pattinson and Stewart are dating is really up to them to discuss. Just this week in Elle magazine, Stewart said, “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them.”

Robsten may be together, but one thing Gossip Cop knows for a fact – after spending a good part of the day working on this – is that NO reps ever confirmed it to Oprah.

That scenario never happened, and when asked whether Oprah got the scoop off-camera because she simply had to know, a rep for the talk show queen tells Gossip Cop “it’s not true

Walter Salles says Kristen was 'faithful' to project On the Road

Guys I'm giving you my translation to the article published today in the Brazilian media:

"Having confirmed the participation of Kristen in On the Road, Walter Salles (director) made compliments to the actress. He said he invited Kristen to participate on the project two years ago, after becoming impressed with her performance in Into the Wild. He says Kristen knows deeply the story of the book and that she remained faithful to the project throughout this whole period that the film was trying to get funding. He says Kristen is not afraid to take risks, especially when it comes to the fervent role that she is about to play. He also says that she could be participating on bigger films but she made the choice to participate on a low-budget movie"

Muse announced as first artists on upcoming 'Twilight: Eclipse' soundtrack; more to come

Shocker, vamp fans: Stephanie Meyer’s most favorite mortals, anthemic U.K. pomp-rockers Muse, will lead the upcoming Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, due June 8.

The band’s Twilight hat trick continues with the original song “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever),” debuting at radio May 17; more soundtrack names are expected to be released early next week.

Will Eclipse move away from the predominantly Pitchfork-y New Moon lineup, which showcased indie all-stars Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear, and Death Cab for Cutie and boosted baby bands like Band of Skulls, Sea Wolf, Anya Maria, and Hurricane Bells? Should alumni like Paramore and Death Cab return?

Will artists in the tears-of-blood Twilight wheelhouse—say, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, or AFI—finally join the fray? Or should Robert Pattinson just bite his lip and moan longingly over a C-F-G chord progression?

Rob & Kristen Confirm They're Dating—to Oprah!

E-Online Robsten, don't you know we have eyes everywhere?

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, and Taylor Lautner all taped an episode for The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week, to air May 13.

While some fans were treated to a special screening of Eclipse, the good stuff happened with the cameras weren't rolling.

Like when Rob and Kristen confirmed to Oprah backstage they are in fact dating:

"We were all briefed before the show how to handle the talent," says our source who works for the Big O. "Part of what we were told was that Rob and Kristen are dating."

Come again?

So here's how it went down:

Apparently, before Robsten and the gang went to tape the segment, they went over with Oprah what she was going to ask. O said she had to "go there" and gave Rob and Kristen the heads-up she was going to ask the big dating question.

Robsten and their people obviously said they wouldn't straight-up answer, no surprise there, so Rob, Kristen and Oprah came to a little agreement.

When asked, Rob and Kristen could totally give the coy nonanswer answer (Rob joked Kristen was pregnant, Kristen joked Rob was having the baby), and O wouldn't press it too hard on air.

On one condition—she wanted to know what was really happening.

Dishes our Oprah spy:

"Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn't be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen's people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent."

At least O knows how to get it out of them somehow! And really, are you going to lie to Oprah? No way!

So that's the little agreement our fave couple settled on. They could get away with the deflected joking answer, but Oprah (and her crew) needed to know what was really up with them.

As for how the Twilight couple interacted behind the scenes? Let's just say it certainly wasn't as tense as it was in Vancouver!

"They weren't superaffectionate or anything," says our source, who was with Rob, Kristen and the cast the entire time they were at the show.

"Kristen seemed a little awkward and nervous, but Rob didn't at all. He was really friendly and was cracking jokes the entire time."

So is the confirmation to Oprah enough for you Nonsten's that Rob and Kristen (who arrived back in L.A. together this week, too) are still happily together? Of course not, didn't think so.

But for your entertainment, then, you can check out this twitter of an eyewitness who saw Robsten kissing and cuddling in the airport as they left Chicago together.

You know, just for giggles.

New Eclipse Still of Bella & Jacob

Naperville Sun: Naperville Families Welcome ‘Twilight’ Vampire

You’re not supposed to invite a vampire into your house, but when Robert Pattinson of “Twilight” fame rang the doorbell of the Webster family’s Naperville home Tuesday, all decorum — let alone rules — went out the window.

Pattinson’s appearance was part of a taped stunt set up by producers of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” The actor made surprise visits to three Naperville homes that evening.

“Twilight” cast members from the movie franchise about teen vampires were in town to tape an episode set to air May 13. The Websters were one of the families who had requested tickets to attend the taping. Little did they know they would get a whole lot more.

Jeanne Webster and her daughter Colleen, a sophomore at Naperville Central High School, had been contacted by producers and told that no more tickets were available. Instead, the producers asked if they could set up a video phone in the Websters’ home Tuesday night so Winfrey could talk to them remotely during taping the next morning. The Websters agreed and settled in for what they thought would be a dull night of technical setup.

“At 9 p.m. the doorbell rings and we saw this huge light and we were just screaming,” said Jeanne. “We thought it was Oprah at the door. My daughter Colleen opened the door and it was Rob Pattinson at the door to wish her a sweet 16th birthday.”

Another Naperville family, the McAlpines, also fell victim to what would become a welcome prank.

Lisa McAlpine’s 13-year-old daughter Meggan had invited three friends over to watch the video-phone setup. They met a movie star instead.

“The poor man — they practically tackled him,” said Lisa. “I don’t think he’ll have his hearing back for awhile.”

“I was in a state of shock at first,” said Meggan. “I always think if I ever meet these people this is what I’m going to say to them, but all I could do was scream.”

At the Websters’ home, Pattinson stuck around for about 15 to 20 minutes.

“I had my glasses on and had taken out my contacts and had no makeup on,” said Jeanne. “I couldn’t believe it. He was really funny and answered all of (Colleen’s) questions. He was a real laid-back type of guy.”

Pattinson also handed out Oprah tickets, so Jeanne, Colleen and 17-year-old daughter Shannon attended the Wednesday taping, where they also got to see stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.

“It’s been a crazy couple of days,” said Colleen. “I can’t believe it. The first thing that went through my mind was, ‘This cannot be happening to me.’ I was completely speechless for the first time in my life.”

Everything You Need to Know About Getting “Eclipse” World Premiere Tickets

The 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival takes place from June 17-27. One of the things which makes this festival unique is that it’s sponsored by Film Independent, the same organization responsible for the “Oscars” for indies — the Spirit Awards.

As someone whose life revolves around independent films, it’s been truly exciting to attend a festival every year which is run by the same folks who put on the Spirit Awards, as it always has a schedule second-to-none for fans of indies — or simply great cinema. Plus there are always celebrity guests galore as the event is within a stone’s throw of Hollywood.

As I first reported on this blog a month ago, the LAFF has moved from Westwood to downtown Los Angeles. I’ll be reporting live, as always, and have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of this year’s lineup.

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions I’ve been receiving since I first posted this press release:

——————————————————————————————————–

Q: How do I get tickets to the festival?

A: Passes to attend the festival are available NOW for Film Independent members (details below), and beginning May 10 for the general public. In addition to screenings and events, festival passes provide access to a series of networking receptions and entry to the ZonePerfect live.create. lounge, where pass holders can interact with filmmakers and professionals in the film community. General admission tickets to individual films go on sale beginning June 1. Contact the Festival Ticketing Center for passes, tickets, and eventinformation by calling 866.FILM.FEST (866.345-6337) or visit LAFilmFest.com. Festival Passes and tickets can also be purchased in person beginning on Monday, June 14 at the Festival Ticketing Center located at L.A. LIVE (800 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015).

———————————————————————————————————–

Q: What about admission to the World Premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse?

A: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere IS the official World Premiere. Festival passes are available NOW to Film Independent members (see below) and to the general public on May 10th. The Industry and Fast Pass levels will include tickets to Eclipse in those packages, while supplies last.

———————————————————————————————————–

Q: What are these “Industry” and “Fast” Passes? Do I have to be a member of the industry to get an Industry Pass?

A: No. ANYONE who is NOT in the industry can get an Industry Pass as long as you’re a member of Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization putting on the festival. Anyone can join. Membership is only $60 for students or $95 for non-students. As soon as you join you’re entitled to buy an Industry Pass. Benefits of membership include:

* Priority selection and discounts for the Los Angeles Film Festival
* 2-4 free preview screenings of the latest indie releases each month for you and a guest (usually in LA).
* Monthly FIND Magazine with up-to-date news, events, and discounts.
* PLUS you get to vote for the Spirit Awards, see member-only screenings of the nominated films, and receive screeners (DVDs) of some of the nominated films in January.

To join, just go HERE. Once you’ve joined you can then get the Industry Pass. The cost of the Industry Pass is $500 for members. FYI the “Fast Pass” costs about twice as much but has many more perks and includes two Eclipse tickets.

———————————————————————————————————-

Q: So you’re saying I’m going to buy an Industry Pass and only get to see Eclipse?

A: No, This is an all-access pass for the entire 11-day festival. Over 200 features, shorts, and music videos from more than 30 countries make up the main body of the festival. The pass entitles you to:

* General admission for one (1) to any gala screening, regular screening, conversation, poolside chat, coffee talk.
* One (1) ticket to Opening Night Film and Party on June 17.*
* One (1) ticket to the Closing Film and Party on June 27.*
* Access for one (1) to ZonePerfect live.create. lounge
* Access for one (1) to Festival Mixers.**
* Five (5) additional one-day passes to the ZonePerfect live. create lounge. **
* PLUS (1) admission to the by-invitation-only premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on June 24. Absolutely non-transferable. A very limited number of these bonus invitations are available, while supplies last. Even though you will have the pass, in order to get into the screening you will have to stop at the will-call desk and show proof of ID.

———————————————————————————————————

Q: Is that the only way I can see Eclipse? Will there be any individual tickets put on sale at any point in the future? Will there be another screening for the public or will Summit have a free fan screening like they did with Remember Me?

A: At THIS moment the only way to get into the premiere is posted above. Nothing else has been announced. I don’t want to speculate as to what will or won’t happen. Whether or not you choose to follow the steps above or wait to see if something else happens is your decision! Hopefully you are now armed with all the facts available at this time.

———————————————————————————————————–

Q: Will there be a red carpet for fans who just want to see the stars arriving?

A: Those details have not been announced yet. It has been standard procedure for LAFF screenings to have red carpets. They had them for similar events in the past. For example, the premieres of Journey to the Center of the Earth in 2008 and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009 were big, high-profile events with red carpets that fans could observe. In fact, those screenings were held at the same locations as the Twilight and New Moon premieres and the same blocks were roped off. But that’s because LAFF was in Westwood before. Now it’s centered around the L.A. Live complex downtown. So while nothing has been officially announced regarding red carpet logistics (location, possibility of camping out, etc.) I think it’s safe to assume there WILL be some form of a red carpet somewhere. But this is a new location, and those are decisions which will be made by staff. I WILL be posting more details as I get them.

———————————————————————————————————

Q: What is L.A. LIVE? How is this location different from Grauman’s on Hollywood Blvd.?

A: Developed by AEG, L.A. LIVE is a 5.9 million square foot, $2.5 billion downtown Los Angeles sports, residential, and entertainment complex. It is adjacent to Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center. L.A. LIVE features the recently opened Club Nokia, a 2,300 capacity live music venue, Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, a 7,100-seat live theatre, a 54-story, 1001-room convention “headquarters” destination (featuring The Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott hotels and 224 luxury condominiums – TheRitz Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE – all in a single tower) , the state-of-the-art Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 theatres, “broadcast” facilities for ESPN, a 100,000 square foot special events deck, the one-of-a-kind GRAMMY Museum®, saluting the history of music and the genre’s best know awards show, all centered around Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE, a 40,000 square foot outdoor event space with twelve signature restaurants along with entertainment, residential, and office space.

Most other questions about travel, locations, lodging, etc. are answered at the festivals’ website LAFilmFest.com.

'Bel Ami' in Protagonist Pictures' Cannes 2010 Brochure

Salles, Coppola finally hit ‘The Road’

After numerous false starts, Walter Salles and Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s 1957 cult novel, “On the Road,” is finally on the path to production.

French mini-major MK2 will exec produce the $25 million pic, which has long been a passion project of Brazilian helmer Salles and Coppola, who acquired the rights three decades ago.

Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund (“Tron: Legacy”) will topline, with shooting due to start in August.

Riley will play Kerouac’s alter ego, Salvatore Paradise, Hedlund is Dean Moriarty while Stewart will play his on-and-off wife, Marylou.

Coppola will produce via his San Francisco-based outfit American Zoetrope. Salles’ Rio de Janeiro-based Videofilmes and the U.K.’s Film4 will co-produce.

Salles is re-teaming with the creative team behind his “The Motorcycle Diaries,” including Film Independent’s Rebecca Yeldham, who will produce, scribe Jose Rivera, d.p. Eric Gautier, production designer Carlos Conti and composer Gustavo Santaolalla.

Nathanael Karmitz and Charles Gillibert will produce for MK2, which will also handle distribution and international sales.

In the long haul to “On the Road’s” inception, Salles travelled across the U.S. in Kerouac’s footsteps and gathered enough material for a documentary, “In Search of On the Road,” which is a work in progress.

Salles presented an hour of footage featuring interviews with beat poets and characters from the book at the San Francisco Film Festival in April, where he was feted with the Founder’s Directing Award.

Robert Pattinson: Water For Elephants’ Oscar Pedigree

Robert Pattinson will be surrounded by Oscar winners and nominees both in front and behind the cameras in his upcoming project Water for Elephants, directed by Francis Lawrence (whose last feature was Will Smith’s I Am Legend) and based on Sara Gruen’s novel.

Pattinson’s co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz are both Oscar winners. Witherspoon won a Best Actress Oscar for James Mangold’s Walk the Line (2005), while Waltz was this year’s Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

Hal Holbrook, who’ll be playing the aged version of Pattinson’s character — a young traveling-circus veterinary during the Depression years — received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Sean Penn’s Into the Wild two years ago.

OPRAH’s ECLIPSE Preview Screening Gets Raves

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, plus various vampires and werewolves, had its preview screening during a taping of Oprah Winfrey’s television show featuring the three aforementioned stars and Dakota Fanning.

As to be expected, some audience members began tweeting about their impression of the David Slade-directed film. The buzz coming from those Twilight fans has been quite positive — few should be surprised by that — with some placing Eclipse ahead of both Catharine Hardwicke’s Twilight and Chris Weitz’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The Oprah show featuring Pattinson, Stewart, Lautner, and Fanning will be aired on May 13. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released in the United States on June 30.

Eclipse’s "official" world premiere will apparently take place in Hollywood on June 24, while an "unofficial" screening will be held the same evening at the Los Angeles Film Festival in downtown LA.

Also in the Eclipse cast: Bryce Dallas Howard, Kellan Lutz, Xavier Samuel, and Peter Facinelli,

5 Breaking Dawn Scenes That Need to Make It into the Movie

With the recent announcements that director Bill Condon will be at the helm of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and that the movie won't release until November 2011, we got to thinking about which scenes need to make the transition from book to movie.

It's no secret that the fourth installment in The Twilight Saga received a mixed reaction when published, or that the movie is one of the most hotly debated topics among fans. Here are 5 scenes we think deserve a place in the movie. Do you agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments.

(Warning: Contains Breaking Dawn spoilers!)

Edward & Bella's Wedding
Their long-awaited nuptials happen quite early on in the book, much to the delight of fans of the will-they-or-won't-they couple. It's a family affair that almost runs smoothly, no thanks to Jacob almost wolfing out when he learns that Bella plans to become a vampire. It's a testosterone-fueled scene, with the boys once again facing off, much to Bella's dismay (we bet she's secretly happy, really — who wouldn't want Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner fighting over her?!). The wedding, itself, has its moments, with the high point being the vows and Edward removing Bella's borrowed garter with his teeth. If that doesn't make it into the movie, Melissa Rosenberg will have a lot to answer for

The Isle Esme Honeymoon
Calm down, ladies — we're almost positive this whole chapter will make it into the movie. It's the perfect opportunity to feature a topless Robert Pattinson during his impromptu celebratory skinny-dip, and it's also the first time Edward and Bella have sex. That said, it's not nice sex — it's Edward at his headboard-breaking, pillow-biting best, with Bella getting a little bruising during this most monumental of moments (not to mention extremely pregnant), which might not make it into the final cut of a PG-13 movie. We're just sayin'

Jacob Forming His Own Wolf Pack
Jacob is totally fuming throughout Breaking Dawn, which is understandable, really, seeing as Edward has stolen his one true love and future mother of his pups. He narrates the second part of the book, and gives us an awesome insight into his mind. He's a funny guy, that Jacob Black. Unfortunately, The Pack are planning to kill Bella and her freaky fast-growing unborn child, and Jake doesn't like that AT ALL. He's still madly in love with her, you see, so he decides to break off from the pack and form his own, with Seth and Leah Clearwater for company. This scene could be the turning point for movie Jacob — it'd gain him some new admirers, and give Taylor Lautner a chance to shine. If it doesn't make it to the big screen, Taycob fans will probably start writing their hate mail straight away. Are you prepared for that, Summit?

Renesmee's Birth
This scene is where The Twilight Saga take a turn for the gruesome. It's like something out of Alien, only not quite as surprising. Bella's baby, Renesmee (yeah, don't ask), is now so huge, she literally breaks out of Bella's body, almost taking mommy's spinal cord with her in the process. Bella's nearly dead as a doornail before Edward realizes what he has to do to keep her alive — change her into a vampire. Like, now. So he injects his venom straight into her heart, then bites her. Many times. All over her body. It might sound hot, but it really isn't — it's all done in despair and with a savagery we haven't seen from Mr. Cullen before. It's the only scene that will push the PG-13 boundaries, but it's one that has to be included. The imagery will be awesome

The Introduction of Other Vampire Clans
Towards the end of the book, the Cullens are preparing to take down the Volturi, yet again, and enlist the help of several vampire covens from all around the world. It looks like it's going to lead up to a huge battle, with casualties and bloodspill, but it doesn't. There is one good thing to come out of an otherwise redundant section, and that's a horde of new vampire characters. We meet the Amazon, Denali, and Irish covens, as well as the American Nomads. Some awesome characters are introduced, most notably Zafrina, Kate, and Garrett. Admittedly, they're underutilized in the book, but a well-written script could allow them to take center stage and liven things up a bit. Believe us, it's going to need it.

Kristen Stewart's next big role? Jack Kerouac's "On the Road

Despite her mean face at the Met Gala, Kristen Stewart can get excited about things.

For example, she's clearly bursting with glee (not that kind of Glee) over her next project...and we're not talking about Breaking Dawn.

"I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever," she gushes to USA Today. "Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too."

So what's the "big deal" deal she's brokered?

"I am about to play Marylou in On the Road," she confesses.

Filmmakers have long been attempting to bring the Jack Kerouac 1957 classic to the big screen. While both Francis Ford Coppola and Gus Van Sant have been unsuccessful in their attempts, it appears Motorcycle Diaries director Walter Salles is beginning to get the wheels turning in earnest.

Tron: Legacy's Garrett Hedlund and British actor Sam Riley are rumored to be taking over the male leads of Dean and Sal, respectively.

Shooting reportedly begins this summer.

New Preview of Robert Pattinson Comic-Bio

Usually they make movies out of comic book heroes. Now they make comic books out of movie actors.

Bluewater Comics’ latest edition in its FAME line is the biography of Robert Pattinson, best known for his portrayal of the vegetarian, mind-reading vampire, Edward Cullen (cue the screaming), in the ‘Twilight’ film saga.

Pattinson joins other famous names on the comic book shelves, from The Beatles to Michael Jackson — even Stephenie Meyer herself.

Readers will see comic book RPattz from his childhood in London, to his early movie roles in forgotten films, to his jump to fame with a role in ‘Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire’ right up through his more current work in ‘Remember Me.’

The book is filled with Pattinson’s own words, such as, “It’s one of my favorite books and one of my favorite scripts as well. It’s going to be a really, really good movie,” referring to his most recently wrapped film, ‘Bel Ami.’

The comic bio, written by Kimberly Sherman and illustrated by Nathaniel Ooten, hits the shelves at the end of May — a strategic release date since the highly-anticipated ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ opens on Jun. 30.

Kristen Stewart will have her own comic-bio on the shelves in June. In the meantime, bad news for Team Jacob: No word yet on a Taylor Lautner edition.

Robert Pattinson and Co-Stars may not present at the MTV Movie Awards?

The Twilight series has been chosen in several of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards’ pre-nomination nominations (see here). Last year, to promote The Twilight Saga: New Moon, a large portion of the cast attended, and Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner all presented the first teaser trailer for the film during the show.

For the 2010 Awards, which air on June 6th, none of the cast is listed on MTV’s roster of presenters, particularly “the big three” as pointed out by HitFix.

This doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t attend – after all, they’re all (plus Dakota Fanning) in the running for individual and collective film awards nominations – but as of now, it seems they may not act as presenters.
